Chapter 129: Yakumo Tsukamoto
When they returned home, Belldandy put great effort into preparing a lunch. After placing the meal on the table, she revealed a satisfied smile.
"Yuta, give it a try and see if it suits your taste," Belldandy said as she knelt on the other side of the table, smiling warmly at Yuta.
Not only was she honing her cooking skills, but Belldandy was also practicing knitting. She planned to make a sweater for Hina when the weather turned cold, using it as a practice run before knitting one for Yuta.
Yuta cleared the table, setting his laptop aside. Seeing the dishes laid out before him, he smiled.
"This looks delicious, but isn't it a bit too much? Belldandy, won't you join me?"
"No need, I'm fine like this," Belldandy replied, her gaze fixed on Yuta. More than eating, she enjoyed watching Yuta savor the meal she prepared.
Yuta nodded, picked up his chopsticks, and under Belldandy's expectant gaze, lifted a piece of vegetable to his mouth.
Belldandy cherished these moments the most—watching Yuta take the first bite of her food filled her with happiness.
"Yuta! Are you home? It's me, Sayoko! I'm here!"
Sayoko's voice echoed from outside, reaching both Yuta and Belldandy's ears.
Yuta's expression turned helpless as he put down his chopsticks and stood up. He wondered how Sayoko had managed to find his place.
He had never invited Sayoko to his home—neither at the Takanashi residence nor here.
Belldandy's expression froze briefly, but she quickly resumed her usual smile and followed Yuta to the door.
Though Sayoko's actions in the past hadn't angered Belldandy, this time she felt a tinge of displeasure.
She only cared about Yuta's feelings, and now, with Sayoko disrupting his meal, it unsettled her mood slightly.
At this moment, Sayoko had already made her way from the gate to the yard. When she saw Belldandy and Yuta coming out, she excitedly approached them.
"Yuta, I got your address from Raika! This place was really hard to find, but it's okay. Once I got the information, I came straight over!"
After Sayoko finished speaking, perhaps realizing she might have said too much, she elegantly continued, "Yuta, I have two movie tickets for today. How about we go watch a movie together?"
Belldandy, not standing directly in front of Sayoko, remained calm as she noticed Sayoko's intentions. Without hesitation, she quietly cast a spell.
Suddenly, in the previously still yard, a strong wind arose out of nowhere. The gust swirled quickly around Sayoko, snatching the two movie tickets from her hand and sending them flying. The wind also lifted Sayoko's long skirt, revealing the clothing underneath.
Yuta didn't look at Sayoko. Instead, he tilted his head upward, watching the two tickets being blown away. He mused to himself, This time, the force seems weaker than before.
In Belldandy's limited understanding of human behavior, having one's clothing under a skirt exposed to a man was an unbearable embarrassment.
"Ahhh!" Sayoko felt a chill below. As she glanced down at her skirt billowing upward, she instinctively pressed it down while letting out a high-pitched, excited squeal. Her face flushed red as she clenched her fists.
Belldandy, realizing moments later that she had cast a spell, quickly dispelled it, wondering how she had lost control of herself.
Glancing at Sayoko with some concern, Belldandy initially thought Sayoko would be upset with Yuta or angry. However...
Sayoko's aura was a mixture of bright yellow and soft pink!
The yellow, representing happiness, was the dominant color, followed closely by pink, symbolizing love. As for red, the color of anger, it was entirely absent!
Yuta, unaware that the sudden wind was caused by Belldandy's magic, simply assumed it was another manifestation of some mysterious force.
After seeing the movie tickets blown away, Yuta nonchalantly said, "I have something to do today. Sayoko, if you're free, you should head back. This place isn't exactly close to school."
Sayoko's mind was in chaos. Having her skirt lifted and being exposed in front of Yuta left her utterly flustered, unable to think straight.
"Alright, I get it. See you tomorrow," she said, deciding it would be best for both of them to calm down.
So annoying! He clearly saw my underwear, yet he's acting so calm, just like me, pretending nothing happened, she thought, feeling a mix of frustration and excitement.
With a cheerful mood, Sayoko turned and left, already pondering whether she should take a more proactive approach to get closer to Yuta tomorrow. Since her intentions weren't to break Yuta and Belldandy apart but to make him like her, it didn't trigger the mysterious force of intervention.
The force only acted against those attempting to split the couple. For someone like Sayoko, who simply liked Yuta, it had no effect.
After Sayoko left, Belldandy let out a sigh of relief and said to Yuta, "Yuta, let's go back and finish our meal."
However, before they could return, another girl appeared at the gate. Unlike Sayoko, this girl gave off a quiet and reserved aura.
The woman cautiously approached, and though Belldandy wanted Yuta to return to their meal, she greeted her politely, "Hello, may I ask who you're looking for?"
"Hello, I was recommended by Miss Machida. My name is Yakumo Tsukamoto. Is Mr. August here?" Yakumo glanced at Yuta, her crimson eyes flashing briefly with a hint of surprise, though her thoughts were unreadable.
Still feeling annoyed from the earlier encounter with Sayoko, Yuta initially felt weary of another visitor. However, seeing Yakumo's calm demeanor, which matched what Sonoy had described, he felt reassured.
"'August is my pen name. You can just call me Yuta. This is my girlfriend, Belldandy. Let's go inside and talk."
To avoid unnecessary trouble, Yuta deliberately introduced Belldandy as his girlfriend.
"Girlfriend?" Belldandy looked a bit puzzled but felt much happier upon hearing Yuta's introduction.
Yakumo Tsukamoto glanced at Belldandy, realizing she couldn't read her thoughts either.
"Let's go inside and eat first. We can talk about work in the afternoon," Yuta said, feeling his hunger catching up with him.
Yakumo nodded. Even though she couldn't discern the thoughts of either of them, she sensed that neither Yuta nor Belldandy was a bad person.
