Chapter 118: The Goddess Never Lies

After returning from Kaoruko, Yuta took Belldandy to school to settle the matter of her student registration.

Belldandy not only had the ability to control computers with her magic but could also communicate with animals, regardless of whether they could make sounds. Remarkably, she could even ask a utility pole for directions...

Yuta couldn't quite grasp whether a utility pole could be considered an animal or why it could talk, but he figured it was best not to overthink it. Knowing it was possible was enough; there was no need to dwell on the reasons.

Not only could Belldandy ask animals for directions, but she also had the ability to cast spells to move around, including the power to fly.

"Belldandy, we're not going to school tomorrow. Today and tomorrow will be spent on moving houses. Try not to use magic, and make sure no one else sees you."

Yuta didn't rely on Belldandy's magic but didn't strictly forbid her from using it either. After all, she was a goddess, and there would naturally be moments when her magic was necessary.

Belldandy nodded. Upon hearing about the new house, she happily said, "In the new house, we'll still be together, right?"

"Yes. I'm thinking about how to organize the new house. Personally, I prefer something clean and tidy. What about you, Belldandy?"

Belldandy didn't mind such matters. "Anything is fine. As long as I'm with you, Yuta, I'll be happy."

Hearing her response, Yuta felt a bit embarrassed. "Then let's discuss it together tonight when we get back. There's still plenty of time for now, so let's head over and start cleaning up."

"Okay!" For Belldandy, whether it was school or somewhere else, it made no difference. As long as she was with Yuta, it didn't matter where they went or lived—she'd always be happy.

Having a goddess so devoted to him filled Yuta with both pride and contentment.

While thinking about the future, Yuta and Belldandy walked toward the temple. Along the way, he casually asked, "Belldandy, did you use magic while playing mahjong yesterday?"

"No, isn't cheating prohibited when playing mahjong?" Belldandy looked at Yuta, puzzled, not understanding what she might have done wrong.

"That's not what I meant. This morning, Sasha mentioned that you kept winning yesterday, didn't you?" Yuta recalled hearing Sasha talk about it over breakfast.

Sasha hadn't been complaining or accusing Belldandy of cheating. Instead, she had enthusiastically recounted the events, clearly eager for another round.

"Is that a problem?" Belldandy, worried she might have done something wrong, looked at Yuta for clarification.

"It's not a problem. When you've played cards with others before, was it always like this?" Yuta asked, hoping to understand more.

Belldandy replied, "When I played mahjong with everyone in the Heavenly Realm, it was always a lot of fun. Are you saying I can't win in the human world?"

"No, not at all. It seems your luck attribute is just incredibly high. Don't worry about it," Yuta reassured her. Remembering that Belldandy was a goddess of fortune, he realized it wasn't an issue.

Belldandy's luck truly was exceptional. It manifested in countless ways, and during mahjong, it shone particularly brightly.

She hadn't done anything out of the ordinary—her luck was an innate ability rather than a magical power. Once she understood she hadn't done anything wrong, Belldandy was at ease.

Beyond her extraordinary luck, Yuta was curious about other aspects of Belldandy.

"Belldandy, did you make your clothes yourself? They're really impressive!"

Belldandy's clothing had a unique style befitting her divine nature, distinctly different from what ordinary people wore.

"Yes, I made it by assembling atoms from the air. It's no different from human clothing. Yuta, would you like to wear one too?" Belldandy asked, interpreting Yuta's inquiry about her outfit as interest, thinking he might want one for himself.

"Uh… I don't have that kind of hobby…" Yuta awkwardly looked ahead, firmly denying any inclination toward wearing women's clothing.

Belldandy, enthusiastic about clothing, quickly clarified, "Don't worry! Even though my clothes are made with magic, they're like human-made garments. Once finished, they have nothing to do with magic anymore. You could wear them too!"

Just like how humans create clothes using machines or by hand, a goddess creates them with magic. Once completed, the clothes become physical items and no longer rely on magic.

"No, your clothes are beautiful, but I'm not into wearing women's clothes. They're meant for girls, not me," Yuta explained his reasoning, realizing there were many things Belldandy still needed to understand about the human world—such as the fact that most guys wouldn't wear women's clothes.

Belldandy didn't have such knowledge and, seeing Yuta decline, earnestly continued, "I want to give you a gift too, Yuta. Do you like skirts?"

"I only like looking at them. Wearing them is out of the question," Yuta replied seriously, hoping Belldandy would understand his perspective.

However, Belldandy didn't quite get it. Coming from a place with customs akin to Nordic traditions, where men wearing skirts wasn't unusual, her perspective was different.

"Then, do you prefer the kind of clothing you're wearing now?" Belldandy genuinely wanted to create something for Yuta as a gift.

Yuta's clothes were nothing fancy—just a plain summer T-shirt.

"Not exactly. You'll understand more over time. For now, let's take it slow. I can't really explain it all at once. By the way, Sasha is a clothing designer; you could talk to her about it," Yuta suggested.

Belldandy nodded, making a mental note of this. Though she could make clothes, she didn't yet know what Yuta would truly like.

Some things simply required time to understand. Yuta wasn't in a rush to figure everything out about Belldandy either, as they both needed to deepen their understanding of each other gradually.

"Oh, by the way, let me ask you something. Do you think I'm handsome?" Yuta suddenly asked, puffing himself up and proudly trying to show off.

Belldandy nodded without hesitation. "Handsome!"

Yuta broke into a smile, clearly pleased.

After all, a goddess never lies.
