"Okay, now you must rest your body for the next few days. No moving around. The technique I used causes a strain in the body, and we wouldn't want you to pass out again." The priestess said.
"Okay, thank you." I said.
She exited the room, and instantly Lucian ran in.
"My lady, are you okay?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm fine." I smiled. "I told you nothing would happen."
"Yes. I'm glad." He sighed.
Since the meeting with high priestess Sir Lucian has been less on edge and not as close too me, which is good because it allows me to continue with my investigation. During my "treatment" the priestess had a strange emblem on her hand. It looked familiar but I couldn't remember where. So naturally I went to library. For some reason I was drawn to a book that seemed a bit out of place. There was no title and the cover was a solid dark color. When I picked up the book it started to glow a bright purple color and let out a quick electrical current that shocked me cause me to drop it on the ground. My hand felt tingly, it was hard to move it for a second like it had been paralyzed.
"Well, well. It seems like your surviving just fine here. Maybe I was worried for nothing." A voice said.
I whipped my head back to see the mysterious hooded man standing before me.
"It's you again." I said.
"Have you found what it is you've been looking for?" He asked me.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"It's not as though you've been snooping around the castle for no reason." He grinned.
"Have you been spying on me?" I asked.
"No. But I know everything that you do." He said.
"Sounds to me like you have been watching me." I said.
"Take it however you want my dear." He said. "Anyway I am willing to assist you in your search for answers."
"Assist me?" I asked. "Do you know something?"
"I know everything yet nothing." He said.
"That's not the answer i was expecting." I sighed.
"But it is an answer. Which I have several of, should you want my help." He said.
"I don't even know who you are." I said. "Nor do I know what you want."
"You are so impatient, there is a time for everything. You must not rush into things." He said.
"Are you going to give me answers or not?" I asked.
"Do you want the answers I will give?" He asked back.
I paused for a minute to think.
"No. I don't think you'll actually be able to help me." I sighed.
"I see." He smiled. "Well anytime you decide that you want my assistance… I'll be more than willing to help you."
He walked up to me and stop only centimeters away. He was so close I could feel his body heat emitting off of him. His eyes piercing my own. A strange feeling, one I couldn't name came over me briefly. He lifted his hand to my face and subtly moved a strand of my hair out of the way. My heart began to beat faster and louder, it felt like it was going to force itself out of my body. My own body temperature began to rise and my throat started to swell. I wanted to speak but in this situation I couldn't bring myself to. Something about this unknown man mesmerized me. He inched his face closer to mine ever so slowly. Anxiety began to engulf me, I felt like I should stop while I was ahead but as if it were my natural instincts taking over I inched my face closer to his.
His warm lips pressed against my own. A warm tingly feeling was sent coursing up and down my body. His hands wrapped around me, one around my waist, the other around my head. The small tender peck turned into a passionate steamy kiss. I had to fight myself off of him. This man who's name I didn't even know.
"Uh, sorry." I blushed. "I don't know what came over me."
"Not at all. In fact it was very much appreciated." He smiled down at me.
"Um I think I should go now." I said. I quickly grabbed the book I had dropped and made a dash for the door. Just before leaving I heard the man say something.
"Oziel. That's my name."
I whipped my head around, only to see an empty room. Once again he was gone.
