ROAAAARRR~!
A loud noise emerged from the entrance of the grove, and a similarly large silhouette followed it. The head of the silhouette peaked above the clouds, revealing what seemed to be some sort of strange monkey monster.
Strange because monkeys didn't usually grow to over fifteen feet tall. Emery instinctively stepped back. Even without checking its status, he could tell that this was a powerful beast.
It had faint golden-brown fur and red markings all over its body. The markings looked like primitive arrows, but they also appeared quite cryptic at the same time.
The monkey had green eyes that wandered around the battlefield idly as if looking for an opponent to fight.
A long stick about half its size dangled at its fingertips. It didn't appear like anything special, but those same red markings covered it entirely.
"What kind of beast is this supposed to be? Did it take inspiration from Sun Wukong?!" he blurted out.
