Emery kept his guard up even more after the pelicans attacked. Something felt strange about this all, and he even began to get a strange feeling that this treasure wasn't as simple as Citro made it seem.
He even sensed a few more beasts a few metres past his Area Domain.
It wasn't as clear as if they would be within the domain itself, but they gave off powerful energies that he couldn't ignore.
"Should I?" Elyn asked as if sensing his thoughts.
"No, don't." he replied, "I'll be able to cut them down as soon as they enter a certain distance. Not to mention, I have a feeling that's exactly what they want to happen,"
She nodded and returned to guarding.
Beasts weren't as stupid as one would initially assume. It would be a terrible mistake to assume so. Citro and Clucky were prime examples of what he was talking about.
