Emery noticed the vague trail of flames on the ground. It was still hot. He wasn't sure how far the guy could have gone, but it couldn't be that far. He reckoned the Skyfish would be able to catch up soon enough.
BANG~!
And that explosion just proved that he was right.
He accelerated, and several shadows appeared behind him. He stopped in the middle of a clearing and took in the scene in front of him. Several large figures floated in the air, circling someone.
They had the same colour of scales as the juvenile from before. Long ribbon-like fins flew behind them, keeping them afloat. Coupled with their size, they looked extremely terrifying in a strange way.
Emery watched carefully before launching an attack. The man had lost his left arm. Only a small stump acted as a remnant to show that it was ever there.
And that happened for how long? A minute or two?
These fish were stronger than the ones they faced before. Far stronger.
