The sand screen completely obscured his vision for the first time. The power he had put into his kick faltered and his attack fell flat almost completely. He recovered from the shock a bit after and dusted the sand away from his face.
When he looked back at his opponent, there was nothing there.
He landed back on the ground and quickly swivelled around just in time to catch the incoming dagger.
Kareem wore a smirk under his mask and continued his assault. He drew the dagger back and sliced it down in the same direction. The chef raised a hand to deflect it, only to realize that there was nothing there.
Or rather, he felt nothing there.
The dagger was still right there in front of his eyes, but for some reason it seemed to lose all substance, becoming no different from air.
His mistake cost him a bit. Kareem's other spindly arms reached out from the cloak, carrying another dagger that resembled the first one.
