Despite her leaving allowing so much room for misunderstanding, Emery was still rather glad that she was gone.

It allowed him to address far less direct issues like with Kyle. The dark-haired man hadn't said anything since, but it was plain to see that he felt some kind of guilt for failing to protect the store.

But before Emery could even approach, Kyle was already in front of him kneeling.

"Woah, what are you doing, dude?,"

Kyle kneeled even harder in front of him.

"I'm sorry for failing to protect the shop. You fed me and I even failed to perform such a simple task, then even ate your food again. You can get rid of me if you want to, I'll accept that punishment,"

"What are you talking about? I don't care about any of that,"

The man didn't have any of that. "I still have to apologize for my actions. Feel free to punish me,"

"Stop saying that. I had no idea you were such a masochist!"

"That has nothing to do with anyth-"
