Chapter 43 - Escape

Emery almost lost focus and tripped over something as he ran, but he quickly remembered himself and maintained his balance without falling over. Elyn, though, wasn't able to keep as composed as he.

"Ah!"

Her feet stopped working and tumbled over each other awkwardly. Emery grabbed her before she fell and held her up just before she fell face flat into the ground.

They were quite far away from the Class Five hound, meaning they could catch a short breath in the meantime. That would be especially far more needed considering the serious jump scare from when the chicken arrived.

And Elyn, despite almost falling down, gathered virtually every bit of strength within her body to point at the white bird.

"What the hell is that thing?!"

The chef laughed dryly. He would be lying if he said he knew himself. That bird was clearly an anomaly, even to him.

He cleared his throat, "That there… is my new summon and our new helper."
