A spark of determination ignited within me as I contemplated the revelation that there were more beings like Goblin Wise influencing the rules of this twisted game.
Goblin Wise, sensing something is wrong asked
[What happened to you human? Have you gone mad now?]
I gazed at him with a smirk on my face and said,
"Earlier You said 'Us' That's mean there are more like you out here am I right?"
[So what of it? If there are more like me? It didn't change anything.] Goblin said as he gritted his teeth.
'Haa, I was right.'
Ignoring Goblin's question, I pressed forward with my words, " I have been thinking about this question since yesterday when everything ended for us."
[What is it?] Gonlin asked with a hint of curiosity and wariness in his voice.
Nodding my head I continued, "Yesterday everyone including myself heard 'Gods will be watching all of you' That means there is no need for someone like you to appear. I mean the world is already at the end and soon we are going to die, even if we get class and power."
[...What is your point?] This time the calm expression on Goblin Wise's face was gone he was looking at me hit of many emotions, Angar, Curocity, Confusion and...Fear?
Leaning forward, I locked eyes with the goblin, my expression serious, " I mean everything is crystal clear now, you are like an entertainer and gods are the audience and we are monkeys, You guys spread everywhere in the world and entertain different types of gods, I'm right Aren't I?"
Ding!
[God Of Underworld is Satisfied with your answer.]
[God Of Underworld has gifted you 200 gold coins.]
'Haa, so I was right.'
Glancing at the system message I can not help but chuckle.
Goblin Wise, taken aback by the unexpected system message, stared at me with a mix of disbelief and newfound wariness. The confirmation from the God of the Underworld seemed to have stirred a realization within him.
[You... you got a reward for that ridiculous assumption?] Goblin Wise muttered, his usual confidence now shaken.
I grinned, revelling in the revelation. "Seems like someone up there agrees with my perspective. Now, Goblin Wise, I'm sure there is big competition between you entertainers too, right? Every one of you wants more audience (Gods) watching you right?"
[Huh?]
"Do you want to be 'king of the entertainers (Goblin)?"
[What now―]
There was silence for a moment and then something happened, that was out of my expectation.
[#GN-1001 channel is closed.]
'A Channel?'
"Hey, what was that notification? A channel is closed? What does the mean?"
Glancing at me Gobline let out a small sigh before saying,
[You are smart for a human... You are right we are here as entertainers for gods and there is tough competition between us who will have more gods watching us the channel closed notification that you received earlier was my channel. I was live streaming everything and through that, any Gods can watch anyone and judge our actions.]
"Live streaming? Gods watching?" I mused, absorbing the information. "So, our every move is like a performance, broadcasted for divine scrutiny. What happens when a channel is closed? Does it affect the gods' perception or our influence in this twisted game?"
Goblin Wise nodded, [Exactly. When a channel is closed, it means the specific live broadcast ends. It can impact the gods' perception, and in turn, the rewards and penalties we receive. It's a critical aspect of the game.]
As the realization dawned upon me, I contemplated the implications.
So in short Gods are watching all of us but that's only half truth.
For example, the Necromancer Class I got from God of the Underworld can only watch my actions even if this channel is closed now and no other god can watch my action.
But with the help of Gobline Wise and others who are here to oversee us, they can watch anyone in the world.
That's where this streaming comes forward.
'I see, now I'm starting to understand what is happening here.'
But that doesn't change anything in my situation, I have to turn this in my favour...
"What do you say Goblin Wise? Do you want to become the king of entertainers?
His complexion was changing.
"Gobline Wise, sign a contract with me and make me privileged then I will make you the king of the Goblin."
[Ha, hahahahat! You are crazy! A crazy human! I should've known it when you were chosen by God Of the Underworld!]
Goblin Wise laughed for a long time before opening his mouth again.
[You think you can manipulate this game and offer me the throne of goblins? You're amusing, human. But let's entertain this idea. What's in it for me if I were to consider your proposal?]
I smirked, knowing I needed to appeal to Goblin Wise's desires and motivations. "What do you think the purpose of gods is to enter a channel?"
Goblin looked like a bad student at the sudden question.
"You don't have to be so nervous. You already know this information. But let's review it again to see what it means."
Goblin wise was caught in my pace and nodded despite himself.
"The Gods can be largely divided into two groups. One group are the 'fun seekers' who seek to relieve their boredom with the channel. The other group are the ones who want to see only destruction seekers, isn't that right?"
[Yes. That's right.]
"For this reason, you must be able to satisfy one of the two groups to become a famous channel. In other words, either stick to the fun seekers or the destruction seekers, You have to attract one of them properly."
"What if there is a channel that can satisfy both the fun seekers and the incarnation searchers?"
[What are you saying? Such a thing is impossible. Even if it is possible, it is only for a while.]
"Correct, Goblin Wise. The challenge is to maintain a delicate balance between the two groups, keeping both entertained. But what if I told you there's a way to not only maintain that balance but to excel at it, becoming the most sought-after channel in this twisted game?"
Goblin Wise's eyes narrowed with intrigue, his goblin instincts sensing an opportunity.
[How is that even possible? Don't speak nonsense.]
"It's possible," I asserted, confidence oozing from my words. "Imagine a channel that amuses the fun seekers with engaging and unpredictable content, while simultaneously satisfying the destruction seekers with chaos and carnage. What if we could create a spectacle that combines entertainment and mayhem, captivating the gods from both factions?"
Goblin Wise leaned in, his scepticism mingling with curiosity.
[Even if such a channel existed, it would be short-lived. The whims of the gods change, and they would eventually lose interest.]
"Ah, but that's where the true art comes in," I grinned, revelling in the audacity of my plan. "What if we could adapt, evolve, and surprise them at every turn? What if our channel becomes a living, breathing narrative that unfolds in ways even the gods can't predict? That, Goblin Wise, is the key to creating a timeless and irresistible channel."
The goblin pondered my words, the possibilities dawning on him.
[It's ambitious, human. Perhaps too ambitious. The gods are fickle, and their tastes are unpredictable. But if you truly believe in this vision, what's your role in all of this?]
"My role?" I chuckled. "I'm the orchestrator, the one who pulls the strings behind the scenes. With your skills and my strategic mind, we can create a spectacle that transcends the limitations of a typical channel. Imagine the fame, the influence, and the rewards we could reap."
Goblin Wise's expression wavered between scepticism and fascination. The allure of such an unprecedented venture seemed to tug at the strings of his goblin nature.
[And what do you get out of this, human?]
"Privilege," I declared without hesitation. "I want access to the hidden shops, the ability to shape my destiny. In this collaboration, we both get what we desire. You become the king of entertainers, and I become the master of my fate."
The goblin pondered the proposal, weighing the risks and rewards. After a lingering silence, he finally spoke.
[This is a dangerous gamble, human. But I'm drawn to the audacity of your vision. But you have to Prove Yourself first.]
"What do you mean by prove yourself? What do I have to prove?"
Goblin Wise grind and look at me
[You have to Prove yourself for worthy of this contract.]
-Clap!
Goblin Wise Clapped his hands together in motion and teleported with me somewhere. My body suddenly became heavy as I felt water entering my lungs. Then I was sucked in somewhere.
I somehow managed to curl up and hold my breath. 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds...I was barely breathing when my hands hit a tangible wall in the darkness.
"U-Uwek."
I could barely breathe after coughing up the river water several times.
"Where am I?" I couldn't help but say depression.
[You are inside of the stomach and you will die soon enough.] Goblin Wise said with wickedness in his voice.
