Chapter 78 - Chapter 75.5

Then suddenly Ravens began to gather in the surroundings of Godswood, striking terror into the hearts of the Starks and their men, both within and outside the sacred grove. Bahamut, anticipating the arrival of the Three-Eyed Raven, stood with Eddard and Robb, their swords at the ready. Aithusa, who had been playing nearby, approached Bahamut, growling menacingly at the raven perched atop the Weirwood tree. With a smile, Bahamut took Aithusa into his arms, his glowing eyes releasing an aura that resisted the biting cold of the North.

In the eerie silence, the Three-Eyed Raven finally spoke, his voice echoing through the Godswood, "Bahamut, The Unknown, you meddle in the affairs of men once again." Bahamut responded with a calm yet powerful voice, "I only involve myself when the threads of destiny intertwine with my own. The next Three-Eyed Raven is of great significance." The Three-Eyed Raven cawed from his perch, "You have always been drawn to those who possess the power to shape the course of history. But meddling with the weave of fate comes with consequences." Bahamut chuckled, "Consequences that I willingly accept. The boy, Bran Stark, stands at the crossroads. His destiny is uncertain, yet his potential is vast."

As the Starks exchanged nervous glances, the Three-Eyed Raven declared, "You are going against the will of the Great Old One." Confused by the mention of the Great Old Ones, Bahamut remained calm as he looked at the Three-Eyed Raven who observed with an inscrutable gaze, "The future is a tapestry woven by countless choices. And your choice will be your Doom." Bahamut, undeterred, responded, "I am the keeper of balance, not swayed by the whims of gods or ancient ones. Doom is a concept known to mortals. I am beyond such trivialities. The balance will be maintained."

The Three-Eyed Raven cawed ominously, "The balance you seek is fragile, Bahamut. Beware the consequences of disrupting it. The Great Old Ones watch, and their will transcends even your power." Bahamut asserted, "If they watch, they watch in silence. My purpose remains unchanged." Suddenly, the ravens began to fly away, and some fell lifeless to the ground, painting the earth red. The Godswood once again returned to an uneasy stillness, leaving the Starks and their men to grapple with what they had witnessed.
