The journey back to Leymar didn't take long. Just as they used a portal to arrive, Yunis used it for them to go back as well. What requires a month's journey to travel from kingdom to kingdom, was reduced to mere hours.
The cold winds of Semaria had long been left behind, replaced by the warmer breezes of Leymar. But even the temperate air could not dispel the growing anxiety in Azer's heart. Amara's life, and that of their unborn child, hung in the balance.
Time was not on their side.
As they reached the outskirts of Leymar, they were greeted by soldiers and officials who had been alerted to their return.
The mood in Leymar's capital was somber, as news of Lady Amara's abduction had spread, but hope flickered now that they had returned with the help of the northern powers.
"Bring Dionne here," Crown Prince Adin ordered after the exchanges of greeting were done.
