Chapter 1 - Chapter 0 - Childbirth

"God...." Shidou breaks into tears

The midnight storm roars even louder as each raindrop hit the rooftop.

"Everything up to this point has been pointless.."  Shidou looks upon the flashing traffic from above and afar.

"I have nothing  good to recall...."  Shidou wipes his tears as he jumps from the building to die and rot in an alley.

The rain suddenly stopped and it went silent, Shidou felt like he was swimming in water- his body was swimming. His head was empty, he just wants to survive.... He suddenly stops floating and gets transported in a dark place, it happened so quick. A glowing man of white color was sat in front of him as he chuckled.

"God-?"  Shidou tries to wipe his tears and catch his breath as he was very exhausted...

"You were swimming to survive, Shidou?"  The man chuckled as he said his name..

It went silent for a few seconds as Shidou only stared blank. Shidou finally broke the silence after a few seconds and shed a tear,

"Yes."  Shidou does so while trying to wipe his tears dry.

The man sits in front of Shidou and asks him.

"Say Shidou, heaven or hell?"  The man said in a cheerful way to lighten Shidou up.

Still, Shidou only felt nothing but the emptiness that resides in his heart but it echoed something he can't ignore.

"Heaven.. of course.... heaven..." Shidou cried and the man stared at Shidou stood up to go nearer and patted his shoulders.

"I understand that, Shidou."  The man gives a gentle smile.

"It's unfair if I let you move on without a good memory, even criminals have one." The man hugged Shidou as he comforted him. Shidou kept trying to wipe his tears off.

"Then I hope you enjoy what I have prepared for you."  The man then lets go as Shidou slightly smiles.

The moment he opened his eyes, he couldn't think, it was a peaceful place but his heart felt too eerie.. This kept happening for a few months- he couldn't even have a proper thought for himself.. Before he could think he would be too drowsy to even think of a word or literally anything. But on the sixth month, he was able to properly take a good look yet it was so peaceful- but the athmosphere felt heavy despite the wonderful pond and closed walls of the shrine; he looked behind him and found three busy men wearing a dark blue robe with golden linings with a flower-vine pattern that's not really visible. All he heard was the sound of the pond and the breeze of the air. Shidou couldn't really think, everything happens so quick. After the first year, he could interpret words but not sentences, he simply couldn't stay up longer than a minute. It was after the second year he could stay up for half a minute each day and move his arms around, he move his head and look around, it was still a very peaceful place with a fishbond ath the front and a stone path, the entrance was especially a bit wide and the place was big.  He could now listen to some conversation until around the second year, he had full thoughts, "So my name here is Eiyyu..", "The man with the circle glasses is named Deiou Jijitake.. the bald guys is Adhu Jijitake and that guy... I don't know...". After a few months, he spoke,

"Deio-u!"  Shidou tried to speak it out loud.

Deiou immediately dropped his scroll and lowered his head.

"soryru lodr godo ndwahgwgyjdvgyukjsah?????!" Was unfortunately, all the words he knew but the man sounded rattled or surprised.

"I still can't understand why the athmosphere in this place is too heavy... Am I sick or something-?"  Shidou thought to himself before becoming drowsy and fell asleep.

Ever since Shidou spoke, the men behind him would always lower their head.
