"So how are we going to slip away without getting the attention of the other students?" Gloria asked him and Dick only smirked at her in response.
"Leave it to me." he said to her in a whisper.
Gloria left after the conversation that they had as her thoughts were plagued with the possibility of what exactly it was that Dick had planned for them.
As the students lay to rest that night Dick didn't sleep staying up until he was sure that every last one of them had gone to bed.
He slowly stood up from his camp as he made his way cautiously over to where Gloria was. He shook her lightly and watched as she jolted awake.
"What is-" She started to say but he cut her off by covering her mouth with his palm and pressing a finger to his lips.
She seemed to understand what he meant as she slowly nodded her head at him and he let out a relieved sigh before pulling away from her. She stood to her feet as he grabbed a hold of her arm and he began to pull her away form the rest of the class.
They were cautious in their steps in the hopes of not alerting the other students and they were extra silent specifically when they were passing in front of Tina.
They could almost hear the sound of a pin dropping as they moved auspiciously out of the clearing and headed towards the forest.
At the mouth of the clearing there were two of the students who stood patrolling. Usually they would change shifts twice in the night.
As one of the students got off to pee in the bushes Dick and Gloria used the opportunity to slip out him and easily evaded him as they made their way into the forest.
Dick couldn't help but smile at the fact as he felt a sense of happiness come over him, he realized that they were finally going to get away from Tina and that things were going to end smoothly without any further trouble.
However Dick had thought too soon as he was frozen in his spot when he heardx the sound of her voice behind him.
"Where do you think you are going?" She asked and the both of them froze as Gloria's body stiffened.
Dick cursed internally as he turned around to face Tina. He kept his expression cod not wanting to show her that he was intimidated by her. However he was annoyed that they hadn't been able to get away before she had gotten there.
"None of your business." Dick said to her. They watched as Tina let out a chuckle as she ran her gaze over them.
Gloria on the other hand bit down on her lip not saying anything. She knew that they had been caught but she didn't know what tricks Tina had up her sleeve.
Another question that rang through her head was what Tina was doing out there late at night. Surely she must have known that they were up to something or that something was going on.
If not she wouldn't have confronted them about it. She wanted to play a game of cat and mouse and it was up to them to stand strong and not fall into her trap.
"It's comical that you think hat this is none of my business. Everything that goes on is my business. What do you think Mr. ken will say if he finds out that the two of you are out here." She said to them.
Dick grabbed a hold of Gloria's hand sensing that Tina weas onto them. He wasn't going to risk her figuring them put and trying to stop them however it was already too late as h rewatched a smirk come over Tina's features.
She took a step towards them as she looked them over. "Oh I see what is going on here now. You think that you can just get up and run away. You couldn't handle a few small threats and you decided to leave like the cowards you are." She said to them in a taunting tone.
Dick gritted his teeth watching as she tilted her head back and let out a laugh. He knew that was his moment to act whilst Tina was still distracted.
Without another thought he grabbed a hold of Gloria's hand and began to take off in an attempt to get away from Tina.
"Hey! Come back here!" Tina yelled after them. But it had dawned on Dick at that moment that him taking Gloria and running away might have been exactly what Tina had wanted and they had fallen directly into her trap.
His heart raced against his chest as he tried to get them away from Tina. He began to weave them in and out of the trees. But they didn't get far before they heard the sound of Tina's voice calling out from behind them.
"We need to stop them. Dick and Gloria have run off with all of our food." They heard Tina call out to the rest of the students.
Dick knew that the students didn't mess around when it came to food and they would surely come after them. He had to get himself and Gloria out of there fast.
Tina's screams are quick to let the rest of the students at the knowledge that Dick and Gloria had ran off with their food they all instantly shot up to their feet.
They weren't going to allow them to run away with their stuff. They had spent a long time foraging for that food and to think that Dick and Gloria had taken off with it caused their blood to boil.
The students made their way into the forest and they were quick to surround both Dick and Gloria.
Dick widened his eyes as he watched the large group pf students surround them on all sides. He knew that they were trapped.
The students crossed their arms over their chests as they looked towards Dick and Gloria with angered looks on their faces.
They couldn't believe that the two of them would do something like that. Especially Gloria who was their team leader and someone that they had trusted.
"Why would you steal from us? Especially you Gloria? You are meant to be our team leader. You are the one supposed to be the one protecting us not starving us." One of the boys said as her shook his head at her in disapproval.
The others hummed at him in agreement.
"I swear I didn't steal anything. Dick didn't steal anything either. This was all Tina." She said as she pointed an accusing finger towards Tina who was stood in the corner with a smug look on her face.
The whole class turned towards her as they watched her let out a dramatic gasp. Her facer fell as she welled her eyes up with tears.
"Why would you do that? I have been nothing but good. I would never steal from you. In fact I have been the one that has been cooking for all of you." Tina said.
