Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: One Force Breaks All Laws

"Whoa whoa whoa."

  The crying downstairs grew louder.

Elon took it in stride after a moment's thought.

But two floors down in height, the cries continued, as if they were always at a distance from themselves.

  Looked down.

The next floor, surprisingly, was brightly lit.

  There's something strange.

Elon rolled down the stairs and found himself in front of a gate that appeared.

Above the door are four large letters, "Safe Exit."

  Export?

Elon glanced around and noticed a large sign on the wall opposite the doorway.

  "Level 1."

  This is too familiar.

When I just came downstairs myself, I saw the same 1st floor that I came down from.

How did you get to level 1 if you went down?

Elon had an instant guess in his mind.

This staircase, spatially, connects head to tail.

The end point, and the starting point.

No matter how you go, you can't get to the end.

  Click.

Elon reaches down and removes the door.

Behind the doorway is a new staircase!

"You're still skillful in this aspect of lassoing."

Elon walks through the door and sees a man sitting on the ground next to him.

He was wearing a cotton jacket, his head pulled together, and he was dead.

But there was a small book in his hand that caught Elon's attention.

Pick it up and turn it over.

"I went down another thirty floors and still didn't get to the bottom."

"When this staircase was built, it was clearly only four flights, how did this happen?"

  "Run, run!"

"In this staircase, there are monsters, the cries are from monsters, don't go near, don't go near."

  "Don't answer, don't answer!"

It ends abruptly at the back.

  He was apparently killed.

What started out as a staircase with only four flights of stairs turned out to be a closed-loop structure with a head-to-tail connection.

"So the cries are coming from the monster."

  Elon glanced toward the stairs.

  "Whoa whoa whoa."

  The cries are still there.

And there's no half-hearted attempt to stop the pace.

Guess the other guy was toying with himself and thought this was very funny.

"Since you want to play, I don't mind playing with you."

With that, Elon drew the Burning Sky.

A magic sword that can ignite the heavens!

  The moment Burning Sky appeared.

The walls and stairs here, they're melted.

  The lava clattered.

Elon had wanted to just blow up the staircase, but on second thought, the Burning Sky was so powerful that he feared it would send the entire underwater base into the sky.

Still, he put away the Burning Sky.

  Medaka!

  The second sword appeared.

The moment they had just appeared, the flowing magma was frozen in succession.

Ice, rapidly spreading across the walls and steps.

In the blink of an eye, the entire staircase, was frozen.

The cries at the bottom of the stairs came to an abrupt end.

It was as if something had, suddenly, strangled his neck, and no sound could come out.

  "It's so quiet."

Elon said, flicking the Ice Spirit Sword in his hand.

  Boom!

In all directions, all the ice, exploded.

The staircase, which was already frozen, followed a piece of it at that moment and exploded into pieces, falling rapidly downward along with the shattered ice.

Losing support underneath his feet, Elon's body falls quickly downward.

  But it landed right away.

He stood in the middle of a ruin and Elon looked up.

The entrance was visible at once.

  It's only four stories high.

Apparently, this staircase, which was connected at the head and tail, was directly frozen by the Ice Sword.

Elon glanced at the ruins and noticed a hand encased in cold ice sticking out of it.

Someone else was just in this staircase?

And happened to be frozen into a popsicle by the Ice Sword?

Elon reached out and pulled the owner of the hand out with one hand.

  Then.

He then saw it, a clothed, humanoid creature with no features.

"This would be the monster that just mentioned in the notebook, the one that made the crying sound, right?"

Elon casually breaks the monster's head off, then shatters the body and limbs with a single punch before placing the frozen head in front of the dead man.

  "Avenged you."

Elon said, "Just go in peace."

  Click--

As his words fell, the sound of a door opening suddenly came from behind him.

  Almost simultaneously.

A chill that lashed out from behind.

Elon turns around and sees a bright patch of what appears to be an experimental site?

He walked through the doorway and immediately heard the system.

  "Current mission: investigate tundra."

That meant he'd successfully completed the task of leaving the staircase and had entered the tundra.

The place had so many working lights that it was so bright that it didn't even require the system to adjust the brightness.

Elon looked around and didn't find any anacondas.

Much less see where the anacondas were once frozen.

  Because whatever.

Anytime an anaconda actually existed here, it would have left an imprint in the dirt and in the ice.

  Not here.

"Her words are full of lies."

Giant anacondas that didn't run out of the tundra.

  Buzz--

Suddenly, Elon heard a system beep.

That was the system alerting Elon that there were items nearby that he could interact with.

This voice, too, is seen only by Elon.

He immediately looked in the direction the voice came from.

A soft glow flickered gently in a pile of equipment.

Items that can be interacted with are located underneath these pieces of equipment!

Elon immediately walked over and removed all the piles of mess and saw a box.

A box the size of a basketball.

Instead of picking the box up hastily, he scanned it with his system first.

  [Boxes carrying viruses.]

"On the surface of the box, there is a large number of viruses, which are normally not dangerous, but once they come into contact with water, they mutate rapidly and have many effects."

Mutate when exposed to water and then have an effect?

  This instant.

  Elon figured it out.

Why did Kurenai die while out on a job?

Why there are giant anacondas out there.

  Everything.

  All because of this virus.

Elon takes out his Ice Sword and freezes the box directly.

The strength of the ice of the Ice Spirit Sword was so strong that it could freeze the flames that were burning, the oxygen that was floating, and even time would lose its significance in front of this coldness.

  Freeze some viruses, easily.

A layer of five or six centimeters was frozen before Elon picked up the box.

"Though it is known how they died and how the giant anacondas appeared.

  "But there's another problem."

Elon turned, ice in his left hand, and grabbed a quietly incoming sharp claw with his right.

  It's Zhang Shan.

He had one arm left and still attacked himself.

  Trying to kill himself.

Elon pinches off Zhang Shan's arm as a second question surfaces.

"These things, where did they come from?"

Zhang Shan flung his broken arm and turned to run.

  "Trying to run?"

Elon said, "Don't use the same method a second time in front of me."

He took a step out and came directly in front of Zhang Shan, and with a right hand, he directly slapped Zhang Shan's head.

Even if he is a ghost or monster, he can't escape the cloud-scouting hand.

The body, with only the headless broken arm remaining, stumbled forward two steps.

Then it breaks apart and dissipates into dust.

Ashes to ashes, soul to soul, not even qualified for reincarnation.

I gave you a chance to escape before, now you have to come back and deliver.

  And why bother?

Elon's gaze dropped back to the box.

  The box was still shimmering.

  Meaning, it can be interactive.

Elon immediately realized, "The really important stuff, is inside the box!"
