Just as Whitebeard's punch was about to crash down on Akainu below, a sudden burst of light appeared on the distant horizon, its blinding golden radiance causing Whitebeard to squint.
The Whitebeard Pirates and others also noticed the anomaly in the distance.
"What's that?" Gaara frowned, looking towards it: "It's so dazzling, like the sun... but isn't it nighttime?!"
Kimimaro squinted as well, saying, "It doesn't seem like a normal natural phenomenon."
"It looks like we have an uninvited guest," Katakuri spoke up, arms crossed, a hint of vigilance in his eyes. "If I'm not mistaken..."
Before he could finish, the golden flash in the distance zipped across the sky above Mobidick, heading straight for Whitebeard and Akainu.
Katakuri continued, "That guy should be Marine Admiral Kizaru, the man of light who consumed the Glint-Glint Fruit, I believe his name is Borsalino."
Uchiha Izumi's eyes widened in disbelief: "Another Marine Admiral? Does the Marine have so many admirals? And he got here so fast?!"
Marco, standing nearby, explained: "There are three admirals in the Marines, and this guy, Kizaru... because he's a natural Logia user of the Glint-Glint Fruit, his speed is no different from light."
"This guy must be here to back up Akainu," Marco's arms had transformed into wings, the blue flames of the phoenix burning fiercely: "I'm going to help Pops now, those Marine bastards actually think they can take on two against one!"
As soon as Marco finished speaking, he shot up into the sky.
He knew that with Pops' current strength, he could definitely defeat Akainu.
But if another Kizaru was added to the mix...
Marco wasn't so sure anymore.
"Marco! Wait for me!" Ace hurried after him, as a user of the Flame-Flame Fruit, he could also fly briefly with the propulsion of flames.
Two different colors of flames shot into the sky in the blink of an eye.
"Hey, hey, hey, was what you just said true? The speed of light? You're joking, right?" Sasori joined in from nowhere.
As an excellent puppeteer and a self-taught scientist, he certainly understood what the speed of light meant.
Konan quietly looked into the distance, pondering, "Is that Marine Admiral Kizaru as formidable as Akainu?"
Jozu spat and hummed, "That guy, he also injured Pops during the Summit War."
Hinata, shocked and worried, said, "Then... isn't Pops in danger now?"
Kakashi ruffled Hinata's hair, comforting her, "Don't worry, Marco and Ace have both rushed over in time."
He looked towards the fleeting golden flash in the distance, his expression revealing a hint of bemusement.
From a visual standpoint, it seems that this Marine admiral is the true "Golden Flash," right?
Wouldn't Minato-sensei's title of "Golden Flash" suit Kizaru better?
"The speed of light."
Kakashi murmured to himself, "It shouldn't be slower than Sensei's Flying Thunder God Jutsu. It's a good thing this Marine admiral isn't from the ninja world, otherwise, wouldn't Sensei's title be stolen?"
...
"What's that blinding thing..."
On the other side, Whitebeard turned his head towards the direction of the dazzling golden light.
Just as he made this move, the blinding golden light had already closed in and transformed into a figure with hands casually tucked into pockets!
Kizaru's slightly offbeat voice echoed, "Speed is power. Have you ever been kicked at the speed of light, Whitebeard?"
The moment Kizaru appeared, a ferociously fast light-speed kick followed right after!
Kizaru's foot struck Whitebeard's right bicep, and the terrifying force carried by the light speed concentrated at one point and exploded instantly!
This kick actually sent Whitebeard flying.
"What an absurdly strong old man..." Feeling a numb sensation in his leg, Kizaru muttered in surprise, "He actually managed to react and defend with Armament Haki."
Then, Kizaru looked down and said to Akainu, "If you don't come up soon, the surrounding seawater will close in! Don't forget, you're a Devil Fruit user... Sakazuki."
Akainu, covered in blood, slowly stood on one foot, his gaze meeting Kizaru's lowered eyes, "You're a bit late."
Kizaru pursed his lips apologetically, "Sorry, I should have brought your Vivre Card with me, that compass was useless."
Afterward, Kizaru noticed that one of Akainu's feet seemed to be severely injured, which surprised him even more.
"You look a bit ragged, Sakazuki." Kizaru was astonished, "You shouldn't be this injured from a one-on-one with Whitebeard."
Akainu, standing on one foot using Geppo, moved next to Kizaru. "This Whitebeard is completely different from the one at the Summit War."
Akainu said, "He's strong, unreasonably strong. The Whitebeard of today might be even stronger than at his peak."
Kizaru was taken aback, "Eh? Really?!"
Before Akainu could reply, a hearty laugh came from afar, "Gurararararara, so it's you, the little flash brat! I was wondering what was so blinding just now! Little flash brat, that kick hurt a bit!"
Kizaru looked towards the direction of the voice, and suddenly saw several atmospheric fissures appear in the distance. These fissures covered half the sky in the blink of an eye and surged towards them.
Watching the earth-shattering, space-quaking terrifying scene unfold before him, Kizaru couldn't help but sweat.
"Don't joke around, Whitebeard during the Summit War couldn't cause this kind of destruction, right?"
The visible shockwaves were rapidly approaching, and the seawater below was whipped up into hundreds of meters high waves, with monstrous fissures appearing on the seabed.
Kizaru and Akainu simultaneously pushed their hands forward, using the technique of releasing Armament Haki to try and block the shockwave of the vibrational force. However, this defense sent both of them flying instead.
"Gurararararara! Two admirals are not enough!" Whitebeard, wielding Murakumogiri, chased after them with a wicked laugh, using Geppo to leap through the air. As he swung his sword down from afar, he bellowed, "If you want to take me on, have that old man Sengoku call another admiral!"
His slash was so powerful it seemed to split the sea itself!
The slash reached from the seabed to a kilometer high in the sky, as if it could cleave an entire island in two!
Kizaru, sent flying, shook his numb hands from the vibration. Witnessing the exaggeratedly large slash, his eyes widened, "Truly terrifying, Whitebeard..."
Kizaru pulled his palms apart to each side, the lenses of his sunglasses reflecting a golden glow.
"Yasakani no Magatama!!!"
With both hands gripping the Yasakani no Magatama, Kizaru slashed at the incoming attack!
Akainu, having lost a leg, roared with a bloodied face and threw a punch, "Great Eruption!!!"
Their attacks collided fiercely with Whitebeard's slash, causing a shockwave that nearly swept Marco and Ace, who had hurried over, back with its force.
Ace's lower body, transformed into blazing flames, propelled him in a hovering flight.
Facing the intense shockwave, Ace shouted, "Pops, we're here to help you!!!"
From hundreds of meters away, Ace threw a punch at Kizaru and Akainu's retreating figures, "Fire Fist!!!"
Marco, also from a distance, swung his wings ablaze with blue flames, "Blue Flame Wild Goose!!!"
The intertwining orange-red and blue flames almost lit up half the sky behind them.
"Huh?!" Akainu, sensing a hint of danger from behind with his Observation Haki, turned around hastily.
His pupils dilated in shock!
The combined attack from Marco and Ace was clearly aimed at Akainu alone!
With only a few hundred meters between them, and Akainu having just blocked Whitebeard's attack, he had no time to dodge.
He couldn't even turn into his elemental form in time!
The two types of flames hit Akainu's lower back, causing him to spew blood once again.
His face contorted with pain as he was sent flying by the attack, coincidentally towards Whitebeard.
"Phoenix Marco, Fire Fist Ace..." Kizaru finally realized he could no longer entangle with the Whitebeard Pirates.
He also understood why Fleet Admiral Sengoku had instructed him not to engage in battle with the Whitebeard crew.
Although the Whitebeard Pirates lacked emperor-level combat power aside from Whitebeard himself...
The group of division commanders, if they swarmed together, could be a headache even for a Marine admiral.
Just as Kizaru hurried to rescue Akainu, his eyes behind the sunglasses widened, "Eh? No way, this is bad..."
Because he saw that Akainu was somehow being gripped in one hand by Whitebeard!
"Gurararararara, well done, my foolish sons!"
Feeling the struggling strength of Akainu in his hand, Whitebeard laughed menacingly, "Magma brat, calling for help is useless!"
He threw Akainu into the air, and with a heavy punch wrapped in Armament Haki, Conqueror's Haki, and the power of the Quake-Quake Fruit smashed Akainu's waist!
Crack—
The apocalyptic vision of an overturned sky and twisted space was proof that Whitebeard had put his full might into this attack!
Blood spurted wildly from Akainu's seven orifices, his eyes rolling back as Whitebeard's punch sent him reeling.
His waist was grotesquely indented downwards, the flesh and bones in that area bursting like ignited firecrackers!
"Puwa!!!"
Akainu nearly lost consciousness from the blow, the corner of his eye catching a glimpse of the gates of hell!
"White! Beard!" Yet, he managed to cling to consciousness, roaring back with a "Hellhound" counterattack at Whitebeard.
"Gurararararara! magma brat, you're the toughest little brat I've ever had to kill in my life!" Even Whitebeard had to admit that Akainu's vitality and recovery were extraordinarily exaggerated.
No wonder, not long after the Summit War ended, this magma brat could come running lively to the New World.
Whitebeard was well aware of the severe injuries Akainu had sustained during the Summit War.
After all, most of the wounds Akainu bore then were inflicted by Whitebeard himself.
Facing Akainu's "Hellhound" counter, Whitebeard raised his hand and brought down a slash.
Murakumogiri not only cut through the Hellhound but also left a deep, bone-exposing gash on Akainu.
From behind, Kizaru extended his index finger, firing several laser beams at Marco and Ace to delay the first and second division commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Then, he immediately moved forward to catch Akainu, who had been sent flying.
"Sakazuki, you're seriously injured, aren't you?" Kizaru, looking at Akainu's wounds, felt a phantom pain himself.
Having sustained such grave injuries, yet still desperately fighting Whitebeard, Sakazuki was truly relentless!
"Pu-cough cough cough!"
Blood gushed from Akainu's mouth, choking on his own blood: "Whitebeard has become more dangerous than before... Don't worry about me! Such a dangerous pirate must be eliminated, even if it costs us our lives!"
"Really..."
Kizaru complained with a bit of a headache: "Let's escape this place before you play the tough guy again, your eyes are almost rolling back in your head. Are you sure you're still conscious enough to fight Whitebeard?"
But just as Kizaru finished speaking, the blood-soaked Akainu in his arms fainted.
"Eh? Huh? Fainting now isn't very cool, is it?" Kizaru glanced at the raging Whitebeard ahead, then couldn't help but look back at Marco and Ace, as more and more cold sweat broke out.
"What a terrifying situation... Can I choose to surrender?"
While Kizaru spoke the most cowardly words, he let go of Akainu and his eyes immediately became serious: "Yasakani no Tomoe!"
A barrage of light bullets shot out in all directions, almost instantly covering the entire sea, plunging dozens of nautical miles into a blinding golden light.
Faced with each shockingly powerful light bullet, Whitebeard raised his hand and punched the atmosphere, forcefully activating the power of the Quake-Quake Fruit.
"Mirror Flame!!!"
Ace's right arm shot out a massive amount of flames, forming a huge firewall in front of him.
Marco was straightforward and brutal, not even flinching at Kizaru's light bullets as he charged at him, Tomoe in hand.
"Didn't you hear our 'king's' words?" Marco lashed out with a kick at Kizaru: "You think you can start a war with the Whitebeard Pirates? You'll need at least one more Marine admiral for that!"
But Marco soon realized his kick had missed.
Despite being coated with Armament Haki.
The kick still passed right through Kizaru's head.
"Huh?" Marco was stunned: "Is this... a light clone?"
In the next instant, he came to a realization.
"That guy isn't trying to fight us; he's trying to escape!"
