I got up bright and early today, way earlier than normal anyway. It was around 8 when I woke up. I normally woke up at 10 or later, and I had also gone for that adventure last night, but for some reason, I was energized even with my meager amount of sleep.
I had never been a morning person, not in this life or the life before. Having to wake up to school so early in the morning had been the worst part of life. Actually, on second thought, maybe waking up early hadn't been so bad compared to other parts of my life.
I wasn't about to let this beautiful day go to waste and go back to sleep, so I kicked off my blankets and started my morning routine. After cleaning up and eating, I finished most of my daily tasks, saving the meditation for before bed. The daily quest had also been updated after reaching the Gold realm.

It wasn't too much harder, but it still took effort. While I was finishing up my quest, the maid watching over me walked up.
"Young Master Alex, your mother wants to speak to you. She is waiting for you her study."
I wondered what she wanted to talk to me about so I quickly finished and went inside. Once in the study, my mother called me over.
"Come here, Alex, sit with me."
I waddled over and my mother placed me on her lap which was mostly taken up by her towering belly.
"Alex, I think it is around time you went out. You've been cooped up in the manor for so long, you must getting bored right?"
I wasn't getting too bored being restricted to the grounds, it being the size of a park after all, but I was curious so I played along.
"I want to explore!" I said. My pronunciation had gotten better as my vocal cords developed, but I still had an adorable baby voice(If I do say so myself).
"Well, aren't you excited sweetie? Say, why don't you go to town with Fred today? He needs to buy some things and this would be the perfect opportunity for you to get to know the people and town."
"Okay, mommy."
"Fred will get you after lunch, so you can play until then."
It was still early in the day, so I decided to go back outside and train my magic. There was never a moment to waste, besides, magic was the best form of entertainment I had. As always, I would shake off my caretaker and go into the forest.
Today I decided to make stronger spells. As shown by my late-night adventure, my current offensive spells barely did any damage to higher-level opponents and not to mention, I had the mana capacity for higher-level spells.
I had around an hour and a half until lunchtime, so I started immediately. Making new spells wasn't hard, just time-consuming, especially the magic circle part. I would start by envisioning what I wanted the spell to do.
The first magic I wanted was a better fire spear. Fire would be a great element to use because of its destructive powers, and something sharp would be ideal, so fire spear it was. My current fire spear spell was (T. 1), so I hoped to get a higher level one. Tier 2 was my goal, but Tier 3 would be best.
I used direct mana manipulation to get a feel of the spell first. First I envisioned what I wanted to happen, a compact, sharp, destructive, length of fire. Then, I manipulated my mana through my fire element channels and led it in front of me as I infused my will into it.
After enough mana gathered, I "ignited" the mana to carry out the spell. This was something I had figured out as well. Instead of magic immediately carrying out after receiving enough mana, you could hold it off and "ignite" the mana when you were ready. Of course, this was the same for all types of casting magic.
Since I wanted this to be a Tier 2 spell at the least, and they were 10x more powerful than Tier 1 spells, I also put 10x the amount of mana I usually would for a fire spear. More mana wouldn't guarantee the spell would make it to Tier 2, but it was generally a good thing to do if you wanted to make it to a higher level.
The spear quickly materialized as a lance of bright red and orange fire. It was the same size as the Tier 1 spell, but I could tell that the flames were much denser, and not only that, it was much sharper. Ignoring the flames coming off and rising, the main core of the spell could be seen as a bright off-white spear, almost like a spear of light.
The head was sharpened to a fine point and the blade was honed. It was more like a long blade or needle than a spear. Not the mention that it had 4 edges, not just 2, as it was in a + shape.
After admiring my work for a little bit, I decided to test it out. I couldn't send it through the forest for the risk of a fire, but I did the next best thing and positioned it perpendicular to the ground. Better a burnt hole than a burnt forest.
I positioned it a few meters above the ground and moved back before sending it. Although it was my magic, it could still hurt me. Almost immediately the spear reached a speed exceeding well over 5x my top speed, which was no joke. I could move at almost 50 miles an hour, which meant the spear was just a little under 300 mph.
Before the spear even reached the ground, the grass and vegetation burned to a crisp. Not only did the vegetation burn but so did the soil. The organic matter was burnt up and the minerals melted, as the composition of the other materials was forcibly changed.
The spear continued boring down into the earth until eventually all the mana was used up. When I moved to inspect the hole, I knew I had a big problem on my hands. The hole stretched on for hundreds of meters and was half a meter in diameter.
If someone saw this they would place the house on tighter security to protect it and I wouldn't be able to leave as easily. They could also discover my other magic testing if they investigated closely.
I moved to cover the hole with earth magic quickly. It still looked a bit suspicious with all the vegetation gone, but it would grow back. It took me 15 minutes to create the spell and test it, so now it was time for the hard part.
After creating the spell, I now needed to make the magic circle for it. It wasn't necessary to create the magic circle for it to use the spell, but it would be necessary to register it as a skill. It would also make it easier and quicker to cast in the future.
This was the part that would take the most time as you had to be precise to make the circle work the way you intended. I tended to use illustrations, different languages, and symbols all together to make magic circles. I would use a combination of the runic alphabet here, English, German, Latin, and Mandarin.
My father had been German and my mother spoke it as well, so I also picked it up along with English as my first languages. I also studied Latin and Mandarin in school. Over the next hour, I slowly made progress in making the magic circle. If there was anything to compare it to, it was like coding, just that there was no language and you had to make your own.
When it came time for lunch, I was halfway done so I had Avery capture my progress and went to eat. I was curious about the town as well. I had a hearty lunch with my family then it was time to go. Mary also got word of the outing and decided to go with. It would also lower the workload of Fred.
Since this was just a small outing, we would be going on horseback. This was my first time riding an animal, so I was nervous to get on.
"Come on, young master, there is no need to be scared. This horse is tame, and you have me and Ms. Cassinova to help you." Fred comforted me as he lifted me onto his horse.
This would also serve as a mini-horse riding lesson for me. Fred had taught my father how to ride a horse, and now he was teaching me. I soaked in everything Fred told me like a greedy sponge and before I knew it we had reached the town.
We dismounted and as Fred tied up the horses, my grandmother took me to the market. It was at the very center of the town, surrounding the town square. It looked like a beginning town that you would spawn in an RPG game. In the middle of the square was a typical fountain with benches, and around it were shops, restaurants, and other places of commerce.
After stepping into the square and looking around, I saw that what seemed to be the town hall/mayor's office was the direction we came from. It made sense as we had come in from the back of the town and the town hall would typically face the front where visitors would come in.
As we moved about my grandmother told me about the town.
"This place was built during the Great Wars as an outpost for the humans. It used to be a hub for mercenaries and commerce, but now in this time of peace, it has dwindled and only some weaker mercenaries come here for the dungeons."
Dungeons? If they are anything like what fantasy books or games have, it will be interesting. I would have to research them later.
We moved to the marketplace as Fred caught up. We looked at the wares on display as I met the townspeople and shop owners. Fred also bought some groceries and other wares while my grandmother just socialized and talked with the other patrons and owners.
Overall it was a super fun time and a nice change of pace from being by myself all the time. I quite enjoyed the atmosphere and interaction. Mary also treated me to a local snack of berry pie. It was made from something I didn't recognize and tasted like a mix of cherry and pomegranate, sour and tart, but also sweet.
We wandered around town for a couple of hours and started heading back as the sun started its setting path. My horseback riding lesson started where it had left off and it was getting dark by the time we got back.
Fred had taken the scenic route to give me more practice getting used to the horse, but I still couldn't ride by myself, partly because my feet couldn't even reach the stirrups yet. It also helped me partly get over my fear of animals.
From a young age, I had always been scared of animals. I had gotten better with time, but I still couldn't be around an animal without worrying out of my mind. Riding the horse had gotten me more used to touching animals and being around them.
It was dinner time when we got home, so I ate before turning in early. The trip had taken a lot out of me as an introvert, and I needed to recharge my social battery. What better way to do that than a peaceful night walk in nature?
