When I woke up in the morning, I was peacefully in my bed, although the last time I remembered I was in the forest.
Someone had clearly brought me back there. Lying still in bed and completely motionless , I thought and quickly made the connection with the origins of my tribe because according to legend, we are the descendants of wolves.
I was certainly not the only werewolf in the clan but it was only a hypothesis that needed to be confirmed but other questions immediately came to mind.
Why wasn't my transformation as painful as the ones shown in the movies and why was I so in control in my transformed form?! Why did my eyes burn so much?!

(Jacob's P.O.V.)
I tried to get up from the bed but my body hurt horribly, I had terrible aches as if a tank had rolled over me but certainly listening to my moans of pain, my father knew that I was awake and he came into my room.
" Dad ?!" I said painfully.
Billy: I'm here Jake, I know you're scared but-(Interrupted)
" No, I am not afraid. What happened to me, I felt like it was the most natural part of me that had wanted to be released for a long time. I feel like I know every part of it. »

"I swear to you dad, I'm fine if we don't take these aches into account"

I stopped talking to look at him as he took a small mirror from my nightstand and handed it to me.
Billy: Look at you.
I immediately started to panic imagining that something had happened to my face but when I looked at my reflection I couldn't say anything to what I saw.
My eyes, which were originally dark brown like my hair, were now purple like those of my transformed form, they looked like glasses.
Billy: This has never happened in the tribe. You haven't noticed anything different in your vision?
"No, my eyes were burning when I woke up but that's all." Nothing has really changed, in fact my vision is much clearer than before. »
Billy: (Scratches his temple) I see...Jake try to give you some rest son, all your questions will be answered soon. Harry is going to organize an assembly for you. And son...?

He gave me a smile before leaving and that intrigued me, my father had been proud of me for a number of things but the look he had at me just now was priceless, it It was like I had performed a miracle.

Jacob opened his eyes again and his pupils became slightly vertical while his sclera (white of the eye) had turned black on both eyes.
As he looked at the ceiling, as if through binoculars or a microscope, he began to zoom in, looking at the plywood until he could see the wood fibers that made it up.
He also blinked slightly before his vision changed and there he saw its colorful particles in the air.
Jacob looked at where his father was earlier and there was a cluster of particles of the same color there, sniffing lightly with his superhuman sense of smell, he understood that what he saw was the trace left by the smell of his father.
He blinked again and his eyes returned to normal, his iris was still purple but his vision was normal. He raised his right hand despite the pain and looked at his fingers.
By concentrating for a few seconds, his fingernails grew into claws almost two centimeters long and he felt like he could even cut metal with them.
"How can it be so easy?!" he questioned seriously, it was as if a child could run and jump like an adult after his first steps.
For anyone with access to a new skill or ability, it took time to adapt and master it, but not for him.
Everything seemed familiar and new at the same time, it's as if someone received a new machine and had already mastered the instructions by heart. Was it strange?! Yes. But he didn't mind.
It took two days for his body to get better and his sisters had to feed him terrible amounts of food because his appetite had increased enormously.
Yet there was one problem, Jacob couldn't wear clothes or more precisely, he didn't want to.
Since being a lycan, Jacob was much more comfortable naked than clothed, and clothing was deeply embarrassing to him.
The worst part was that the assembly was going to take place soon and he couldn't go there naked.
The girls even brought him some shorts but even that was horrible for him to put on but he had an idea.
Jacob simply tore a good piece of the fabric from his curtain to tie it around his hips, it was much less awkward and irritating than the other clothes.
When he came out of there, his father was already waiting for him in the living room because the father had to present his child to the ancestors during the assembly so that he would be recognized as a wolf warrior like his ancestors once were.
Billy saw it and was greatly impressed and proud of his son's physique. Jacob was taller but also a little more muscular than before but even if the volume gained was not very great, his muscles had become more chiseled and defined, it looked like he had done a lot of trimming work.
Jacob was shirtless but wasn't really aware of the changes now, he was intrigued by the fact that he no longer felt warm or cool.

Jacob nodded and they left.
The assembly basically went very well, Harry had asked Jacob to show his wolf form but instead of showing them his lycan form, it was his giant wolf form that he adopted and he was even bigger than Sam, his bright purple eyes made him unique, they were highlighted by his dark brown fur.
Harry asked him if he wanted to become the alpha of the pack and he refused, he said he wanted to be a lone wolf for the moment to everyone's surprise but Harry agreed anyway.
Later in the evening, he approached Sam and told him that if he didn't want to join his pack it was because he found that Sam was already a good leader given all the respect the tribe had. already for him so he wanted things to stay that way.
Sam was grateful and they agreed to work together on patrols from time to time and that Sam would teach him what it took to get by.
Of course, he agreed, showing everyone that he has complete control over everything so soon was probably going to provoke unwanted reactions.
