Everyone in the city was looking up at the sky at the firework show in the sky. Oliphant was among the people looking outside from their windows.
"It's settled, he's gone now, I think it is time you give me an explanation like you said." Oliphant spoke quickly as he was a bit unprepared to hear what Zakia would tell him." Speaking would just waste time, let me show it to you." as Zakia said this Oliphant on the other hand he felt his head throb with pain as flashes of pictures flashed in his eyes, he saw a mountain, it's peak piercing the clouds and was covered in fog, under the fog a small cave was carved out in the middle section area of the mountain, in the next image the inside of the cave was dimly lit by candles layered out in a circular shape, in the middle of these candles a beating heart on a dish filled to the brim with blood could be seen the heart had was not crimson like a normal heart it was in a deep shade of black with dark purple veins and arteries, it gave Oliphant a sense of malevolence when he saw it.
Intricate patterns and and shapes were drawn under this dish with a beating heart, Oliphant concluded that this was some kind of sealing method. At the next moment the images changed and a person was dismembered to pieces as the body parts and organs were kept by different peaple who's faces could not be decerned. Oliphant's headache grew even stronger as the images continued to flash. This time he saw a continent so large that even if all the seven continents in Oliphant's world, Earth were combined they wouldn't be enough to encompass the sheer size of this land.
The continent had lush green trees, rich and diverse in all kinds of living organisms and different kinds of environmental features, mountain ranges, vast plains of savanna, deep blue oceans rich in life among other things. But Oliphant saw all this being razed to the ground, people and animals alike being hunted down and killed by dark silhouettes of humanoid shadows, the continent he saw previously was now in a devastated state with craters of varying degrees. Smoke filled the whole sky of the continent devoid of any life that was seen previously.
Oliphant felt the headache subside and vision returned to his eyes, "The first memory you saw is what I'm here to take, the latter part is what will happen in three hundred years, that's what is going to become of my world, what you think of me and my methods is up to you and whether you believed what I have shown you is up to you also you, if you still don't agree with me that's fine but just know I will do everything in my power to get rid of you just like you are trying to get rid of me at every turn. " Zakia went silent after this and did not speak any further.
Oliphant was in a daze after seeing all the images he saw. He was caught between a rock and a hard place, whether he should believe what he was shown or not believe it, but if he continued with his plans of sabotaging Zakia and end up being killed and this decision was wrong he may put the whole fate of the world in jeopardy. Did this mean he shouldn't do anything and watch as Zakia exerted his ways onto the world? He also started to think about the role he should play in this situation what was the reason for his transmigration, was it to stop Zakia in his tracks or work together with him and save the world. Oliphant spent that night without any sleep and contemplated these things.
The moon sunk under the horizon as the sun rose from the opposite horizon. This morning had a foggy mist all around the area with a cold temperature. Oliphant was already outside his rented room and was headed to the sitting area of the inn that morning, when he got there, there was a few people seated sparsely. The siren that had served Oliphant the previous day was also present attending to other customers.
"Well it looks like you've made the right choice, to assist me that is." a voice spoke in Oliphant's head. "I'm not assisting you, I made a choice that I think is more fitting for this situation, besides if you lied I will find out either way and your plan will get foiled."
"Anyway you should be careful with everyone you interact with, that waitress over there reported you to someone, I felt their prying eyes last night right after she showed you to your room, part of it may have been my fault though, regrettably I couldn't conceal my presence well, all in all you may be in danger so prepare to escape anytime, you know what to do from here right? " Zakia said to Oliphant.
What can I do you are the stronger party here I can only follow for the moment, I'm also doing this so that I can get stronger and level the playing field with you, at that time I will really know everything and if what you showed me is true." Oliphant's response wasn't what Zakia was expecting he thought Oliphant would show more resistance to him.
Zakia thought about the events of the previous night, he did not intend to show Oliphant his memories, what he was trying to do was to flood Oliphant's mind with them so that they could be too much for him to handle and turn him into a retard and control him as he pleased, but this did not take place as he could not archieve his goal during the infusion of memories, his infusion was cut off mid way and he couldn't release more.
It looks like Akida and his subordinates did something, in fact his existence after I turned back time is a first even to me, is that why he said I would fail this time, Akida even though him and I have not met in this lifetime he already has a method in place to restrain me and slow down my progress, Oliphant, I wonder if he will live up to the expectations of his helper. Zakia made this connection in his mind as to why he's been failing in all his objectives thus far.
"Oliphant you know of the consequences if you don't help, don't act like I'm forcing you into doing any of this, you are doing this for the sake of the people you've been saying you want to protect from me isn't that right?" Zakia continued to speak further. "As a reminder your mission now is the retrieval of the Heart of Sin of a rank four Witch kept in the headquarters of the Valley of Sirens, with your measly strength I want to see how you get yourself killed and I obtain my body back and keep this in mind if I happen to gain control again you can forget about being free again I will lock you in my mind to never see the light of day again so do your best. " Zakia spoke as his voice faded in Oliphant's head.
" Thank you for giving me your 'heartfelt' regards I will indeed do my best. " At this moment a man with scales with a red hue approached Oliphant's table with his hands behind his back.
