Chereads / An Anthology of Carnal Poesy / Chapter 2 - I Shall Beg

Chapter 2 - I Shall Beg

I've chased down beasts

Like a madman, I've trailed down preys

Every nook and crannies I forged through

As I was told, I shall not feel mercy

Nor weep... plea... or symphatize...

Even let them get away, because a man

Shall appear stern and cruel

To those who are dull and frail

Hence I did not cross words

Since I see nothing wrong at all

So when I had a look...

Just a single look...

Accidentally we shared glances as passersby

I know I was not mistaken

Amber... Those eyes were golden...

I've never seen eyes as enchanting as them before

A tiger's does not even compare

To the trance you have put me in...

After long years of lifeless hunting

This is the very first time

An itch... impulse... ache...

Linger

Not a single creature

In the deepest and darkest of forests

Can make me feel like this

If I follow my instincts

Like a real lunatic I am always taught to be

I fear you are unable to do anything

But succumb to me

Now

I shall beg

And hope to never cross paths again

Because this unceasing desire

Is killing me
