Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Preparations

The grand hall of Seraphine Castle, once a beacon of Aquileian opulence, now echoed with the grim deliberations of a conqueror's court. The high, vaulted ceilings and ornate chandeliers bore silent witness to the changing tides of power.

Dominating the center of the hall was a vast map of the continent, replete with the complex geopolitics of the various kingdoms. Flags represented each territory, but one was particularly striking: the pitch-black flag of the Eternal Empire, the fiery red phoenix at its heart seemingly ablaze, marking the regions under its dominance.

Lucius, towering over all, stood surveying the territories. His demeanor exuded cold indifference, a stark contrast to the calculated menace his presence inspired. Beside him, Princess Octavia of Veleria, now reduced to a mere maid, served him reluctantly. Her spirit, though broken, still had embers of defiance.

General Will began, his voice echoing with purpose, "Your Imperial Majesty, following our recent conquest of Seraphine, Eldoria, Marn, and Lirea have declared war against us, driven by their defensive pacts and our aggressive expansion."

Marshal Tryn, his presence commanding respect as a newly ascended Grand Mage, weighed in, "They muster their strength, but against our overwhelming might, their resistance is futile. Healing camps are set along the frontlines, and our teleportation and magic-strengthening arrays span our newly conquered territories, ensuring rapid deployment."

Lucius, seemingly detached, ordered, "Eradicate every soldier who dares oppose. Execute the nobles, key figures, and their families, displaying their corpses on their capital walls. Burn their histories, erase their legacies. Make it swift. Three months."

General Atrius nodded, "Control Divisions have been dispatched, ensuring that the territories remain firmly under our grasp."

General Lysar remarked, "With our might, these kingdoms are lambs awaiting slaughter."

The generals departed to execute their orders, leaving Lucius and Octavia in a palpable silence. Turning to her, Lucius mused, "So, what does my little maid think about my conquest of this continent?"

Octavia, her voice trembling with anger, responded, "You're a monster, Lucius. For every innocent life taken, for every kingdom you destroy."

Lucius chuckled, his hand reaching out to slap her ass. The sharp echo mingling with her gasp of shock, "A monster who stands at the brink of dominating a world. Exciting, isn't it?"

Her cheeks flushed with humiliation, she posed a question, filled with a mix of fear and curiosity, "And when you've crushed all opposition, what then? When every heart trembles at your name?"

Lucius leaned in, his voice dripping with playful malice, "Then, dear Octavia, I'll sit back, revel in the tales of a world that once dared to defy me, and maybe, just maybe, enjoy the luxury of a harem of beautiful princesses turned maids, with you as the crown jewel."
