They returned home, and both were silent on the way. This silence stretched on until Hana sat down on the couch, and Jun brought over two cups of steaming tea.
Sitting across from each other, Hana hugged her arms and stared at her belly, while Jun gazed at the wisps of steam rising above his cup.
"Let's talk," Jun finally said, his sigh heavy yet his gaze soft, as if it couldn't find a place to rest. He looked at Hana and asked, "Do you want this child?"
Hana didn't look at him but simply said one word while continuing to gaze at her stomach, "Yes."
Jun fell silent, his gaze shifting to her belly, slightly entranced. His hands clenched together tightly, and with a calm voice, he said, "I hope you can think it over more carefully."
Hearing this, Hana abruptly looked up. "Think over what? You mean you don't want this child?"
