Raily Foster's POV

{Presidential villa}
As I stared out the window I could hear the sound of the reporter speaking faintly from the television at the other end of the room. The whole country was in panic and it was my duty as president to set their minds at ease no matter the cost, hence the reason for this meeting.
Although some would find it barbaric to actually approve of a meeting with the same person that could have had a direct involvement with the dilemma we found ourselves with. I, however was ready to push my luck if it meant finding a solution to our problems. It was clear that the longer we spent in the dark of what was going on, the more citizens of our country suffered, something I wouldn't let happen for long.
'Never!'
I turned to see the subsidiary leaders of our country walk into the hall and take their seats synchronically, all awaiting me to preside over the meeting. Their gazes meeting mine, I sat steadily making a steeple of my fingers while resting my hands on the desk.
The entire desk was padded with a furry veneer, stretching to the entirety of the long desk.
"Before we begin, I believe we are all aware that details of this meeting is not to be shared with anyone besides the members present here today?" I inquired calmly, weighing in my question in expectance of a rapid response, there was simply no time to waste and their instantaneous nodding signified that time was of great importance.
"Mr president if I may?"Felix asked waving his hand as if to draw my attention towards himself. He was the smartest amongst all my associates and I felt a certain reassurance knowing he would have handled the 'anomalies' that occured in his state finely since it was were the exotic gate had made it's appearance.
He made to stand up and I waved him otherwise but he still stood anyways, and even though he was just barely a six footer he moved with grace, his height corresponding with his active shape. He was well past his youth but he still had the vigor of a young man. A truly inspiring and trustworthy companion that I had the opportunity of standing side by side with.
"Knowing that we are to approach this situation from a safe angle, I still suggest that the administrator should receive a hearing even though both the anomaly and the administrator are otherworldly entities". He continued, taking a few steps towards me and stopping after we locked gazes.
Although I had planned that from the start, it still felt assuasive to hear it from him.
"I agree with Mr Felix's opinion, acting irrationally would do us no good, we should at least subject him to controlled interrogation to affirm his insight". A voice beckoned from the rear of the desk, reaching me in real time and forcing me to redirect my look.
I shifted my gaze towards Gerald who had just spoken, he decidedly lived up to his nickname as the wisest man in the room.
He was the most advanced in years amongst all the members of this authoritative board but his well being showed no signs of ageing. It was spectacular how a man in his sixties possessed the least freckles and wrinkles amongst all that were in the room. And although his physique was a little above average he still acted with elegance and style.
"Now shall we address the elephant in the room directly" I asked not wanting more opinions from the remaining two members of the meeting. I waved at stephen- my personal assistant, who was on standby besides the door and he alerted my secretary who in turn directed our guest towards the main hall room.
"In here sir...." Stephen whispered, gesturing to the figure that moved through the door slowly.
The moment the entity stepped into the room, it was like as if the entire room had been engulfed in fire as I could feel the air draw thinner and thinner by the second.
This menacing aura was the same as the one I had felt when the administrator had spoken on live TV.
I pressed hard on the desk, urging my mind to stay awake and my feet to keep at bay.
Even if I had doubted it at first, it was clear to me now, that this was definitely the administrator.
"Ooh.... You all managed to stay seated"
"Humans really seem to be living up to my expectations" He spoke, chuckling as he removed one hand from his pockets and slipped the other back in.
With his vacant hand, he beckoned on the chair that was a bit of a distance from him, almost like he expected it to crawl towards me.
I was a fool to think that it was impossible, as he now made a spectacle of my folly, right in front of our eyes the chair crawled towards him, scraping on the ground till it was directly behind him, then the administrator sat.
Even the sound of his voice caused me to quiver in fear, it was hard trying to calm myself let alone responding to him, I just pulled out my handkerchief from my pocket and dabbed at the sweat that laid sparingly on my face. The room was cool but for some reason I had began to sweat profusely.
"S-shall we get down to business?" I asked, trying to disperse the unbalanced atmosphere that had descended upon us due to the presence of this strange being. I watched as the rest of my governor's nodded in agreement, fear written all over their face.
"But before that shall we get an introduction, please" Felix enquired, stealing the words right from my mouth. He had saved me from stuttering like a scared child and bought us spare time to lighten the mood.
"Names do not matter in this affair, however as I stated before, I am to be addressed as, the administrator '". The administrator rotated from where he sat, dismantling all our efforts in bringing the room to serenity.
His gaze was now fixed on me as if he was staring deeply into me but then he smiled so mischievously that I felt like something unfortunate was going to occur.
"And I take it that you're here to offer an explanation, and if possible a solution to our current dilemma?!" Gerald attacked quietly, he had somehow regained his confidence and was taking the offensive in the conversation. A decision I could not make.
"A solution?, Well I guess you could call it that" The administrator sneered, relaxing himself finally on the chair
"What exactly is this rift and to what world does it connect ours to" Felix charged, preparing to battle.
"A dystopian planet in a far more distant universe, onthropus" The administrator retorted, gaze still firmly fixed on me.
"Dystopian?" Gerald aided, a confused look plastered on his face. I wondered if that was the right thing to point out in the statement but quickly rescinded my thought when I carefully processed the statement, matching it with our current predicament.
"Yes, they are currently in the aftermaths of a great war that wiped out most of their planets population" The administrator responded tastelessly, swaying for the first time in discomfort.
"Why earth then?? Are you responsible for this appearance??? Did you connect their worlds to ours?? What do you stand to gain?" Reginald barked, he who had not spoken ever since the beginning of the meeting, was already on his feet swaying his fat body left and right as if to intimidate the administrator and it was clear that he was very agitated as to why we had been caught up in all this strange events. But the path he was treading was not one that would lead to goodwill. If there was anything I had learned about our short conversation with this strange man, it was that he didn't view us-humans in general- as beings worthy of his time. As usual, I was right on the money.
"I would appreciate it if you were to watch your tone when speaking to me, as I do not view you inferior beings to be worthy of my presence let alone my act of good will. If you know what's best for you, I'd prefer you coordinate yourselves and think rationally about your actions because the next time you question me in such a manner I will do you a favor by showing you how irrelevant your existence is in the grand scale of things, you fat pig!!" The administrator roared endless, his fury permeating the room, creating an atmosphere of intense pressure. I grasped the edge of the table, attempting to steady myself amidst the mounting tension.
"Please accept our sincerest apologies for my companion's outburst. We meant no disrespect," I managed to convey, my voice trembling with a mix of trepidation and regret.
As the air gradually cleared, I sank into the plush armchair, still reeling from the encounter. The administrator emitted a wry chuckle, seemingly relishing our unease. This unforgettable incident will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on my memory for years to come.
