Damon shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Zane's attention turned toward him, feeling slightly apprehensive about being drawn into the conversation between Zane and Belphegor.
Belphegor glanced at Damon, sizing him up momentarily before returning to Zane. "Ah, Damon, here is a lad I met not too long ago. An adventurer passing through our humble city," he explained, trying to deflect any potential suspicions away from Damon.
"An adventurer? In such a young age," Zane raised an eyebrow, his piercing gaze fixed on Damon for a moment before returning his focus to Belphegor.
Zane noted the slight unease in Damon's demeanor but chose not to press further, at least for the time being.
Damon calmly took out his card and slid it onto the table as proof. "I'm just a newbie," he stated.
