Lilith quickly withdrew her hand, and both she and the onlookers stared at the lantern, now extinguished.
"It turned off," Luna Chole thought to herself, while murmuring erupted in the hall.
"Did... did I do it?" Lilith asked with a shaky voice.
Without saying a word, Alpha Chul took a few steps closer to her, his cold expression still intact. He then stretched the lantern towards her, and she took it.
"What are you doing?" one of the elders gathered the courage to question Alpha Chul.
"Lilith can no longer be the heir to the frontal pack," Alpha Chul declared firmly.
"What do you think you're doing?" Luna Chole exclaimed, but Chul paid her no attention.
"Lilith is already married to Chul Xavier, the son of Alvin's family," he announced, maintaining eye contact with Lilith.
"What is he saying?"
"They got married?"
"What is happening?"
