Luna Chole was seated on the porch in the frontal pack, with Kang seated beside her.
"Alpha Klaus of the extension pack has ordered you to take Lilith for the next conference," Kang informed Luna Chole, who was sipping her cup of coffee in the quietness of her study.
Luna Chole raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Since when did the Alpha of the extension pack give orders to the frontal pack regarding the unanimous conference? Did you advise them to do so?"
Kang Jang shook his head. "No, Luna. This was an unexpected directive. But perhaps it's an opportunity for me to meet Lilith in person."
Chole set down her cup and regarded Kang Jang with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. "Why do you want to meet her?"
Kang Jang hesitated for a moment before answering. "It is only natural that I want to meet my long lost niece. I have seen her portrait, but meeting her in person would bring a sense of closure to the years of searching."
