The gate to the mansion was opened by a servant, and Lilith walked out of the compound of the mansion with a sad face.
The servant bowed slightly towards her, and she bowed back, before she climbed down the stairs and walked outside.
The dishevelled rogue advanced towards the mansion, his steps heavy and purposeful. Unbeknownst to him, Lilith walked out of the compound, her face marked with sadness. As they crossed paths, their eyes briefly met, but it was Lilith's acute senses that caused her to pause.
"What is that smell? Is that the scent of water?" Lilith pondered, squinting her eyes in concentration. Her curiosity was piqued, and she turned around to fix her gaze upon the man who had just passed her.
As she stared at him intently, her senses heightened. Lilith felt an unfamiliar energy emanating from the rogue, intertwining with the intriguing scent she had detected moments before.
