Fluttering her eyes open, Annabelle immediately sat up, noticing how everywhere was covered in a thick darkness, and she couldn't see anything.
Feeling the soft surface of the bed beneath her, she squinted when she touched it, realising it was a luxurious bed.
Carefully climbing down from the high bed, she moved cautiously, her hands outstretched to find the wall.
After a while of searching, her fingers finally brushed against the wall's surface. Now, she sought the door.
A raspy breathing sound in the room made her freeze, holding her breath. It resembled the breathing of a wild animal, sending shivers down her spine at the thought of sharing the room with it.
"Ahhhh!" She yelped in fear as the lights suddenly flicked on, causing her to tumble to the floor.
As the room came into view, Annabelle was left in awe. It was a vast, beautifully decorated room fit for a princess, adorned with precious stones that sparkled in the light.
