In her past world, it was believed that the virus had killed hundreds of millions of people over the course of human history before it was eradicated in the 1980s, years before she was born.
It was a terrible sickness with a mortality rate of over 30%. It was responsible for wiping out entire isolated tribes across the globe, and it was spreading in Etril right now.
"What are you talking about? Do you know what this is?" The Sage was confused.
"Yes," Violet tried to calm down as she was tired from running around.
"I mean… I read about it in the book," she added. It was true because smallpox was mentioned briefly in many history books when she went to school. She roughly remembered it but couldn't recall any important details.
