Galen regained his consciousness in the place he didn't recognize. The white ceiling was the first thing he saw and the bed he was using was soft and smelled fresh, although it was mixed with a hint of disinfection.
"Hospital?" He was confused. What was he doing here? The last thing he remembered was the cabin on the ship. He thought his stomach would rupture due to the pain, but he only felt a slight discomfort in the abdomen area right now.
"Captain! You are up already! I was worried to death!"
"Rufus? Why are so close?" Galen pushed the annoying face away. His subordinate was almost forty years old already but was still the biggest crybaby in his crew. He would always find a reason to lament about, be it poor catch, bad taste of alcohol or the fact that he was still unmarried and had no kids.
The young man groaned and touched his stomach as something cold stung his fingers.
