"Huh, you are giving it to me?!" Violet almost jolted when she felt the heavy stone against her skin. Princess Cordelia looked like she just swallowed the fly by accident. She explained how the heirloom was important to her family and only brides were allowed to wear it, yet he went and gave it to another woman.
"Stay still, I need to fasten the chain first…" Cassiel told her as he fought with the delicate mechanism. The stone was so big that the necklaces didn't have any additional gems.
"How do you feel?" He asked and turned her over.
"It's… warm…?" Violet answered truthfully. Unlike the cold feeling of metal and crystals that jewellery was often giving out, this one felt gentle as if it was heating her inner core. The fingers that were always icy got more comfortable and her cheek grew rosy as she was heating up.
It worked like a miracle, almost as if she had the little Cassiel on her chest.
