Violet's eyelids felt heavy as if the boulder was pressing on them, making her close them forever. She tried to hold on, but her lashes trembled as they kept on moving down.
"C-cold…" She murmured to herself. She tried to slap her face awake, but her hand lost the feeling, and she didn't know what limbs belonged to her anymore.
"We will be in the city soon…" Cassiel frowned and told her. She was making fun of him, that he was needlessly worried, but ever since the frostbite returned to her bones, he kept his calm as if he didn't allow himself to panic.
She was doing fine just a few days ago. She roamed the snowy mountain on top of the white wolf and the low temperature didn't bother her, unlike the time they entered the Taica Kingdom in the carriage. The weather in the plains was also getting more spring-like and the knights took down their winter coats. But the more they were warmed, the more she suffered.
