"GASP!" The doctor woke up with a fright, the room around him dark as the deep night was in full swing. He was sweating all over, as if he just experienced his own death.
Was it a dream?
Was it reality?
He touched his cheek and pinched a soft skin, the pain sent a signal to his brain that everything he felt right now was brutally real.
"Honey, what are you doing?" The woman next to him asked sleepily.
"Eleanor!" The Sage grabbed her tightly, embracing her with great urgency. His wife was right there, alive, and safe. The memories of her body crushed under the mass hunted him in memory, but as he felt the warmth and the scent coming from her, he was persuaded everything was just a bad dream.
"What happened to you? You are sweating…" She hugged her husband back, aware of his wet back as if he had just taken a shower with clothes on.
"Nothing… Nothing… As long you are here…" Caleum breathed out heavily.
