It's move in day for Acadia academy! Estra and he father are walking around the shopping district finalizing her academy supplies. "How about this staff Estra. It's sturdy, and it's a nice rose wood. It has a slot for a gem stone as well" her father asks holding up a gorgeous red wood staff. The hand area has a nice rose wrapping. The tip of the staff is a swirl of smooth rose wood with a nice smooth gem slot. Estra currently examining a dark wooden staff that's slender and minimalistic in style looks up to examine what her father has grabbed. "Oh that's quite beautiful dad. I could place this pale pink crystal mother gave me into the gem slot." Estra smiles placing the staff she had currently been viewing back. Reaching out she takes the staff from her father to examine it closer. At closer inspection she can see some small rose engravings wrapping around above and below the hand guard. The very bottom of the staff has a small clear crystal rose embedded in the wood that had been sculpted into vines. With that checked off she only had a few more items to aquire. Before leaving the Magic shop they have the merchant place the gem into the gem slot. It was a perfect addition to the staff.
Smiling Estra and her father walk out to head to the armor shop. Estra has not yet picked out her armor, but she has an idea of what she is looking for. Walking in Estra head straight to the Rouge styles. Her eyes are immediately drawn to a simple leather shoulder plate. Grabbing that she grabs some wrist guards with little rose clasps. Her father grabbed a leather thigh holster for the dagger he had gifted her. Estra picked some black leather knee high boots from the clothing shop earlier, the thigh holder will fit perfectly between them and her uniform bottoms. Looking at her father Estra states "I think that's good enough for my Beginner armor. I don't want anything to fancy and if I get accepted into the Royal Knights I'll get new armor anyway." Her father nods encouragingly "I'm sure you will Estra." They purchase what she has picked out and head out to the streets. With her armor purchased she has completed her supply list.
They walk into the school courtyard. "Let's head to the office to get your room key so we can drop off your supplies. I need to begin the journey home." Her father smiles softly. Once they have dropped of her supplies they say their final goodbyes. "I'll see you after they school year ends little one. Study hard." Her father hugs her tight before he heads off. Estra sighs as she begins to unpack. Estra was placing her weapons on her weapon rack when she gets a knock on her door. Answering the door Estra is greeted with a short pink haired girl. Smiling the girl introduces herself "HI I live in the room next door, my name is Seichi Toshi. I'm an aspiring royal mage." Estra takes the outstretched hand of her neighbor before introducing herself. Estra can't help but notice the girls pink furred ears twitch with excitement. "Your a kitsune right?" Estra asks, she had never seen other races before entering academy city other than in her school books.
Smiling Seichi giggles "yes I am. Your an elf right? Full or half?". Estra smiles shyly "Full". As the girls are speaking another girl calls from next door. "Seichi what armor stand do you want?" The girls voice is confident and strong. "Doesn't matter to me, but why don't you come say hi to our neighbor Asha" Seichi sighs. Another girl walks over from the room nextdoor. The girl also has pink hair however atop her head is a pair of golden horns. "Hello, I'm asha a dragonkin warrior." The girl extends her hand. Taking it Estra again introduces herself. Asha's eyes light up "oh the elf's hero crest" smiling she looks to Seichi "we really need to finish unpacking, it's almost dinner time and I'm starving!" Smiling Seichi excuses herself and Asha to finish unpacking "Let's head to dinner together once we're all done". Knodding Estra also heads back to finish unpacking.
Once all unpacked Seichi, Asha and Estra all head to the dinning hall to eat dinner. The dining hall is loud, full of many species Estra has only ever read about. The elves tend to stay to themselves until academy age. After grabbing burgers and fries the girl sit down at a mostly empty table in the back. With some small conversations about their excitement for classes, talking about their upbringing the girls eat their food. Half way through their meal and loud crash sounds behind Seichi. Squeaking she jumps up to see a young black haired boy picking up his tray from the ground. A few larger dragonkin boys are laughing at the boy having just tripped him. Seichi helps the boy up and offers for him to sit with them. They boy accepts introducing himself to the table " I'm Zane Saxon, vampire." He smiles showing his pointed canines. The girls introduce themselves and return back to small talk but now with a new friend to add to their group.
Everyone finishes up eating, at this point the dinning hall had quieted down a bit as other students began to head back to their rooms. Everyone heads back to their rooms to rest before orientation day tomorrow. The school year isn't looking to bad anymore Estra thinks as she showers before heading to bed.
