Nina feels a bad taste in her mouth, she opens and closes it, feeling her throat dry. Her lips were chapped and she ran her tongue, trying to moisten them, without success, she realized that her mouth was so dry that she was barely producing saliva.
Her eyes were heavy, but with willpower, she slowly opened them. Everything started to spin and she put her hand on her forehead, trying to cope with the dizziness.
After feeling less dizzy, she tries to open her eyes again. She looks at the ceiling for a few seconds, trying to remember where she was and what happened the night before, after leaving the room where she left Samuel.
That thought made her sit up abruptly on the bed and everything around her spun with force, turning her stomach and making her fall back onto the bed.
Nina breathed heavily, waiting for her blood pressure to return to normal and after feeling that the discomfort had improved, she tried to get up again, but this time, slowly.
She looked around cautiously and realized that she was alone in a room.
The bed was comfortable and the headboard was carved from dark wood. The floor was an ivory floor, very smooth and polished. It was decorated with some paintings and details in dark wood, in the same tone as the headboard.
On the table next to the headboard, there was a crystal vase, with water and a glass next to it. Nina ignored the glass and picked up the pitcher and poured the invigorating liquid into her mouth.
She had never felt so thirsty in her life, it was as if she had been walking for days in the scorching desert.
After having her fill, she got out of bed and looked at herself in the mirror on one side of the room. The height of the object exceeded her size, which was good, as she could see herself in full in the mirror.
She realized that she was wearing a man's shirt, which she managed to cover her like a dress of acceptable length.
She pulled at the collar and smelled the perfume, but that shirt only smelled like fabric softener.
Her face was clean and her hair was hydrated. She was using a band aid on one cheekbone, which she peeled off a little to look at what was underneath and noticed that there was a small scratch.
Nina glued the band aid back on and spun on her heel, looking around her.
The memories of last night were confused in her head, she tried hard to remember how she ended up in that place. Her last memories were of the moment she hit Samuel in the head with the vase and dragged herself out of the hotel room.
But the decor of the room she was in now had no resemblance to the hotel room and to make sure it wasn't the same place, she went to the window and pulled back a small piece of the curtain, to see what was outside. and saw a huge garden, decorated only with pruned bushes and no colors, demonstrating that there were no flowers anywhere.
Nina was sure that she was in some unknown place and felt a shiver run down her back when she imagined that she could be at Samuel's house.
She opened her eyes wide and lifted her shirt, realized that she wasn't wearing anything underneath and touched her private parts, looking for any trace of discomfort caused after sexual intercourse.
She didn't feel any different, but her heart was still pounding. She internally asked that she not be under the control of Samuel, someone she felt repulsed by and who she was sure could really hurt her. And worse, hurt her family.
Walking, barefoot and on tiptoe, she went to the door, opened it and looked up and down the long hallway, checking if she was alone.
As she didn't see anyone, she left the room and looked around, trying to find some clue as to where she was.
Suddenly, she noticed that the door facing the room she was in before was ajar and, a little hesitant, she ended up deciding to snoop around.
Nina looked into the room and was surprised by its size. The room was three times larger than the room I was in, but the decor was very similar, with marble tones, but instead of dark wood, it had dark metal details.
Nina frowned, because that pattern gave her a certain familiarity and she forced her neurons to remember where she had seen something similar, but she hadn't fully recovered and that effort made her head hurt.
After the discomfort passed, he decided to go deeper into the room and looked at the ceiling, where there was a chandelier where the crystals were cut in the shape of diamonds. She was enchanted by the various crystals in different sizes where the cut of their facets reflected natural light in various points of light.
Nina was occupied with the chandelier and didn't notice that she continued walking, until she tripped over the edge of the bed and ended up falling on her knees on top of it.
At that moment her eyes widened, realizing that she was not alone.
All that luxurious decoration entertained her so much that she didn't pay attention to the obvious, checking if there was anyone sleeping in that room and now she discovered that there was.
She quickly got out of bed and took several steps back, scared, to see that a man was sleeping on his stomach. His back was bare and his face was resting on the pillow, giving you a glimpse of his profile.
She observed his broad back and the position his arms were in, hugging the pillow, made his biceps jump and the muscles of his back stand out.
Noticing that his hair was black and not blonde, like Samuel's, Nina calmed down and took steps forward again, curious about the identity of the handsome male specimen.
She carefully climbed onto his huge bed and crawled up to his face.
It was at that moment that she got a huge shock when she realized that he was her boss.
Stunned, she sat up abruptly on the bed, making waves on the mattress, about to wake the sleeping billionaire.
"No, no… it can't be!"
She thought and crawled back, moving away from him. She thought she was just wearing a shirt, which was probably his and nothing else, on Dominic's bed.
Clumsily, as she dragged herself backwards, she ended up falling out of bed.
The muffled sound of her body falling to the floor made Dominic open his eyes and roll them.
Nina quickly got on all fours, hiding, waiting to hear him waking up, but she heard nothing for several seconds. So she decided to slowly lift her head and check if he had woken up, but to her relief, she realized that he hadn't moved an inch and his eyes were still closed.
She breathed a sigh of relief and decided to lean on the bedside table to get up, however, the sequence of disasters didn't stop when she heard the noise of having dropped something that was on it.
-- Oh no! — she whispers and hides behind the bed again.
She waited some more time and when she realized that there was no movement that indicated that Dominic had gotten up, he craned his neck upwards again, to see if he really hadn't woken up.
Realizing that he hadn't moved, even with the sequence of noises. She supports herself on the floor this time and stands up.
Nina looks at the table and observes the object she dropped. It was a photo frame, which, when she lifted it, caught her attention.
Unlike all the objects she saw, that photo frame was beyond luxury. It was made from a simple, old frame, the glass was fogged with age and the photo it contained was of a smiling boy, posing next to a man who looked a lot like Dominic. He was also tall like him and had an athletic build, but his look was simple, like that of the smiling boy. It wasn't the look of a billionaire.
She looked at that photo for a while. The two were wearing winter clothes and there was a lake behind them and mountains lined with pine trees in the background.
That image strangely made him smile, made him feel a feeling of comfort. She thought that the boy seemed very happy and that he and the man probably had a good relationship.
Waking up from her thoughts, she put the photo frame in place and tiptoed out of the room, this time avoiding making any noise.
However, as soon as she walked through the door, she came face to face with Patel, standing still, with her hands behind her, as if she had been waiting for her!
— Oh! — Nina lets out a little scream of fright and stretches her neck again, looking into the room, but Dominic seems motionless.
It was then that she pulled Patel away and said, whispering:
— My God, Patel! Appearing like this will kill me from the heart. — she exhales and concludes — Ah, it's good that Mr. Dominic is a heavy sleeper.
Patel raises an eyebrow, as he knew that Dominic was a very light sleeper and sometimes even needed to take sleeping pills to get a good night's sleep.
However, she decided not to comment with Nina and then said:
— Miss Moon, I went to your room and didn't see you, I imagined you were in the room with Dominic. Sorry if I got in the way.
— Disturb what? — Nina widens her eyes and swallows — You're mistaken if you think something was happening.
Patel rolls his eyes and says:
— What you do doesn't matter to me, what matters to me is that Mr. Dominic won't like knowing that you're still only wearing his shirt. Go back to your room, as I left clean clothes there for you.
