"Hey, I'm sorry. I was busy all day," Natalie said in a voice filled with regret and sadness as she talked to Terrence over the phone.
Her heart was pounding. It was already late at night when she could check her phone. That's the only time she saw the messages from Terrence.
"Nah. It's fine," Terrence answered plainly. He wasn't interested in what Natalie was about to say tonight.
"Terrence," Natalie mentioned Terrence's name in a soft voice. She knew that Terrence must have seen the pics on the internet. She wanted to explain what happened, but with the tone of his voice, Terrence seemed uninterested in hearing her.
"Natalie," Terrence replied back. His voice was somewhat cold. He wasn't expressing any emotions as he called back her name.
"I'm sorry," Natalie expressed her sorry. She bit her lips when silence ensued between them. She hasn't heard any reply from Terrence after her words.
