"Uhm, yeah," Terrence answered without thinking much of it.
Silence ensued between the two of them afterward.
"Hello?" Terrence's forehead creased. He was waiting for Natalie's answer, but hadn't heard anything.
"You're not here to talk to me?" Natalie answered in a low voice.
When Terrence realized the reason why Natalie became silent, he tilted his head to the side. He knew what she must be thinking right now.
"Of course, I want to talk to you too. That's why I called." Terrence quickly uttered afterward.
He knew that Natalie must have felt sad after hearing his answer. He did not mean it that way.
"Really?" There was doubt in Natalie's voice.
"Yup. You know that I could just text you about it, but I chose to call you." Terrence answered to assure Natalie, who must have been sad by now.
When Terrence said it, Natalie, who was at the end of the line, smiled.
