It was just an ordinary day in a region of the underworld. Yes, day. Because, in that particular place, at the center of twelve planets linked by a formation, there was a small artificial white sun.
A sun in the underworld was something naturally impossible. That one was actually the primordial power gathered from countless newborn primordial beasts that had been slaughtered there. Even so, it represented less than 0.01% of the true primordial sun's power that bathed God Gaia. Besides, its size was just as unimpressive.
That sun merely stayed there, radiating light and heat, until the queen eventually decided to repurpose it and harvest all its energy. However, every few millennia, a new sun like that would form, repeating the cycle countless times. In the process, countless lives had already been sacrificed.
