A large army of three hundred thousand disciples advanced from a distant point in the arena towards where the battle was taking place. The battle arena was immense; people at one end could barely see the center.
However, upon realizing that the center was the most vulnerable area of the barrier above, everyone began to gather there. This way, almost all the cultivators could witness the events unfolding.
Not everyone agreed with killing the weaker ones, but it was clear that a large group needed to die, or they would never advance to the next test. Everyone remained on the defensive, avoiding becoming the next victim and just observing. But now, all three heroic disciples from that sect moved quickly into battle, for no apparent reason.
