The central building shook before an overwhelming power, as if the structure itself were being challenged by cosmic forces. A figure was thrown out like a kite whose strings had been cut, gasping and expelling blood in its trajectory. The figure's body collided violently with the ground, which gave way under the impact, creating a deep crack with the earth rising.
