By nightfall, the Hemlock Mansion was almost brought back to its former glory. Though much of the original furniture was missing, the mansion still had all the comforts a princess and her lover needed.
Athena's stomach growled as she drank a cup of tea in the courtyard with Krayden by her side. She blushed when he looked over at her.
"Was it that loud?" She mused, attempting to hide her embarrassment with a chuckle.
"I can still hear it echoing in my ears," Krayden teased.
They both chuckled, only for Krayden's stomach to start growling too.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who's starving," Athena added.
Krayden clicked his fingers and called forward one of his attendants. He gave him instructions to cook a meal for them. But just as the attendant went on his way, Wendy came running up to them.
"Your Highness! Servants from the Royal Kitchen are at the gates, they wish to seek an audience with you," Wendy explained.
