The next day, everyone went on their separate ways. Athena continued by carriage with Krayden by her side.
When they arrived in the capital city, their entourage was stopped at the city gates.
"Who's in the carriage?" The patrol guard asked as they approached.
Krayden rode his horse forward and revealed his royal seal, along with Athena's. The guards allowed them to pass immediately.
Soon, they arrived at the castle. Krayden helped Athena off the carriage. As she looked at the place she had once called home, Athena's face twisted in annoyance.
"Looks like someone new is in charge now," Krayden remarked as he looked around.
"I wonder if my mansion is still standing," She whispered to him.
They waited patiently for the royal messenger to arrive. However, no one came. Athena's expression did not change, though Krayden was growing annoyed.
