He was amused by her statement.
"So long as you are willing to pay the price. You want to know who I am, is that right?"
The man guessed it correctly. Athena was unfazed. Not only did the man think highly of himself, but he clearly knew a lot more than he had led on. And he most certainly knew more than she did.
So all she wanted to know, was his name.
"That is correct."
"My name is Ray," he said with confidence.
Athena narrowed her eyes. She put her faith in her gut when it came to situations like this. Her gut feeling was telling her that he wasn't entirely truthful. A man like him could not possibly have such a simple name.
He was definitely not a commoner.
"You're lying," she declared as she crossed her arms.
It was a risk to call him out like that, especially when she was at his mercy. Then again, what did she have to lose then? He could easily whisk her away and she would never be heard of again.
