Chapter 14 - A Night to Remember - part 3

- .... hahaha! Mr. Kevin, you shouldn't do that.

- ...and then she just couldn't leave me alone~..

- hahahahaha!!

- hahaha hahaha!!

- ...ank you, Mr. Johnson. Now we can make some good profit...

The luxurious ballroom glittered under a canopy of chandeliers, casting warm golden light on the polished marble floors. The room buzzed with the murmur of the city's most influential men and women, their conversations laced with power and wealth. It was a night meant for celebration, a gathering of the elite, and at the center of it all was a man, who stood at the bar, casually sipping his drink.

He was a large man, both in stature and presence. Tall and broad-shouldered, he cut an imposing figure in his tailored brown and black suit fitting him perfectly. He stood at the bar, his back to the room, holding a crystal glass filled with an amber liquid. The party was in full swing, laughter, and conversation blending into a symphony of wealth and power.

But that man's mind was elsewhere, his thoughts focused on his son...

John.

A small, almost imperceptible smile played at the corners of his mouth as he considered how proud he was of his boy, how he was the only thing keeping him tethered to what little humanity he had left.

Yes, his name is Robert Williams, the powerful CEO of the Williams group of Indrustice. The bartender poured with precision, avoiding eye contact with the man who was as feared as he was respected.

"Mr. Williams,"

But the peace was short-lived. A man, slight in comparison, with an arrogant and self-assured look approached him, calling out his name.

"About those shares, we discussed earlier-" He arrogantly started talking about his shares in Robert's company and other business dealings. Robert nodded absentmindedly, more out of habit than interest, his thoughts still far away.

- Step, step, step...

Then his attention was drawn to the approach of another man in a black suit- a hulking figure with a face etched in despair. It was the head of his security, a man Robert trusted implicitly, the man responsible for overseeing his son's protection.

Seeing the man's expression, Robert flinched, feeling something tightly gripping his heart. There was a look on the man's face that Robert didn't like- despair and fear.

"Bruno? What's wrong?" Robert called out asking the reason for Bruno's devastated expression, as Bruno slowly approached toward him.

The moment he reached Robert, he leaned in, whispering something into his ear, something that made the blood drain from Robert's face.

.

.

.

Robert froze. The world around him seemed to stop, the chatter of the room fading into a dull roar in the background. His glass hovered in his hand as Bruno's words sunk in.

"Y-, Young master... He is d-, dead."

.

.

- Silence...

.

.

For a brief moment, there was nothing but silence...

"Hehe..."

Then, a low, eerie chuckle escaped Robert's lips.

"...Heheheha... haHahaH.."

The laugh started soft, barely a sound,

"hahaHahaHAHAH... HaHAHAHA!!!"

But quickly grew louder, more loud and maniacal, echoing through the room, startling everyone around. The guests exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what to make of the scene unfolding before them.

"HAHAHAHAhahaha, Argh-, sob-, sniff..."

But just as quickly, out of nowhere, the laughter turned to something else. It became a wretched, broken sob, a sound so full of pain and anguish that it sent chills down the spines of everyone in the room.

Those watching were dumbfounded, frozen in place by the sight of the powerful Robert Williams brought low by Grief. They barely had time to process what was happening when Robert grabbed Bruno, pulling him into a tight embrace, his tears soaking into the man's suit. But even as he cried, Robert's voice was low and chilling.

"Aaaahhhh... Sob-, Sniff... Bruno... oh, Bruno... Sob-... I forgive you... It was not your fault... Sob-, He wanted to be free, He, sob-, John always told me that he didn't like it when dozens of men follow him around... Aaaaahhh... Sob-, But it was for his own good... Now he-... Now he..." Bruno held Robert trying to support him in his turmoil. He worked for Robert for 24 years of his life, and during that time they made a pretty strong bond as he believed. But it was not easy to lose a child after all...

But as Robert continued talking, "Sob-, Bruno... oh, Bruno... I'm now crying not because of John, Bruno... I'm crying because I feel sorry for you." Bruno didn't understand what Robert was saying, but he felt something gripping his heart tightly, causing a chill down his spine as the words continued, "Sob-, I feel so sorry for you... What I'm going to do to you now... It breaks my heart."

He pulled back slightly, still holding Bruno close, and continued, his tone laced with a twisted kind of affection. "I'll start by ripping off your fingers, sob-, one by one. Sniff-, Then, I'll cut your dick off and shove it down your throat. Sob-, After that, I'll pull out your intestines, nice and slow, and choke you with them while I watch from my favorite chair."

Bruno's body trembled, the terror in his eyes growing with each word, but Robert's grip was unrelenting. The room around them seemed to fade away, the other guests too horrified to intervene.

Robert's sobs suddenly ceased, his voice turning cold and devoid of emotion. "But what a shame, Bruno... We don't have time for all that... So, first... I'll put this glass in your mouth."

And with that, the psychopath in him took over, as he suddenly grabbed the man by the mouth, forcing it open. With a cold glint in his eyes, he shoved his glass into Bruno's mouth, the rim cutting into his gums and teeth.

"Gurrrrkklllhhlllll!!"

There was a brief, agonizing moment where Bruno's muffled, gurgling cries filled the room. And,

- Boom!!

- Crashh!!

The room erupted in screams as Robert smashed Bruno's head down onto the bar with terrifying force. The glass shattered with a sickening crunch, shards embedding themselves deep within the man's throat. Blood sprayed across the bar, the metallic scent mixing with the expensive cologne in the air.

- Boom!! Boom!! Crash!!...

Robert didn't stop. He lifted the man's head again and again, smashing into the bar repeatedly, over and over, each impact more brutal than the last.

- Aaahhhhh!!

- Kyaaahhh!!

- M-, Mister Robert!!

- D-, Dear lord!!

- Fuck!!

Screams erupted from the crowd, women clutching their partners, some fainting from horror. Bruno's body twitched violently, his eyes rolling back, but Robert showed no mercy. He continued his assault until the man's face was unrecognizable, a gory mess of flesh and bone.

- Bam!! Boom!...

.

.

Finally, he stopped, panting heavily, his face splattered with blood. He turned slowly, his gaze locking onto the man who dared to speak about HIS shares.

"Mr. Bellford, I want all your shares... You'll give me, right?..." Robert asked calmly as if nothing had happened. The man, shaking uncontrollably, could only nod, his face drained of all color.

Robert wiped the blood from his face with the back of his hand and gestured to his right-hand man, Drake, who stood nearby, unfazed by the violence. "Drake, take care of the police. Make sure they know this was just... a misunderstanding."

Drake nodded curtly, already pulling out his phone to make the necessary arrangements. Robert then turned to his left-hand man, George. "Let's go," he said, his voice carrying an ominous weight. "We have some bugs to squash."
