"Are you ready?" asked Seth.
The man looked back, right where Alice was ready with the equipment she was using. Both held a laser pistol and a lit candle, useful for their lighting.
Alice nodded briefly. Seth opened the bedroom door slowly, and the gun pointed forward. He walked slowly with his left hand, holding a small bowl for the candle; Alice did the same.
Although there was no sign of the monsters' arrival, they still had to be alert because the danger in this place wasn't only from monsters. Before searching, Seth gave a detailed explanation of what happened in this place.
Alice understood what Seth had said before. The first and second floors were unreachable, so the lowest floor they could go was the third floor.
"Kyaa!"
Seth looked back, seeing Alice scream loudly as she opened the door leading to the emergency stairs. She stuck out her candle to the front and found a man's body being eaten by rats.
