The three people were still standing facing each other before the emergency exit. People seemed to be passing by them to start their new day without worrying about the floor quest.
"The Arcada group is the second largest group in New York after Redemption. The numbers are around 500-1000 people," explained the man, a rookie survivor who was still at level 10.
"Do you intend to join after seeing what happened last night?" the man asked, curious.
"I do. They seem to have a unique purpose," Seth replied.
"Be careful. Their purpose is simply to enrich their group to compete with Redemption," said the man's companion softly as he carefully explained the group's details.
"An example of this was yesterday. They were desperate to rob the entire merchant without fear of the Skywatchers chasing them," the male companion continued, turning his head slowly to look at the window in the hallway connected to the outside of the hotel.
"Wait, you guys apparently knew robbing the Merchant would get you chased by Skywatchers?" Seth asked.
"Surprised? All the survivors in this city already knew it, right through the actions of those Arcada people," explained the man.
Seth nodded his head slowly. His brain began to correlate the events that happened here with the survivors' attitude and their relationship with the groups of survivors.
They knew the rules because they saw, heard, and probably experienced the events of robbing merchants and being hunted down by Skywatchers. Those people knew it from experience, not from word of mouth.
"They've actually been watching the merchant since yesterday. I learned about it from my friend who has joined," the man whispered, making Seth narrow his eyes and move his head forward to hear more clearly.
"They initially planned to attack during the day, but their plans were delayed because one of the squad's chief captains was killed by someone," the man explained.
Seth was acting normal, innocent, and uninformed. It was clear from their words that they were talking about the man Seth had killed the previous day. However, neither of them knew it was Seth. That was quite a relief to his heart.
"Arcada's headquarters move every three days. However, whenever there is a Skywatcher pursuit, they will move on that day," the man replied.
"So, they probably moved today, right?" asked Seth. The man before him nodded as he snapped his fingers, agreeing with Seth's words.
"It seems so. Their current base is at the city harbor. You'd better go quickly there to at least meet one of the Arcada members," explained the man.
"Alright. Thank you for your information," Seth replied, bowing his head in farewell to the two men.
The two men gasped. Seth walked in the opposite direction of the exit. One of the men tried to call him from afar to tell him the correct hotel exit.
"The hotel exit is through here," the man shouted.
Seth smiled, stopping his walk with a body turn, facing behind him, "I can't leave my hoverbike behind."
"Hoverbike? Damn it! Did you kill the bald guy yesterday?!" groaned the man, trying to chase after him.
The two men ran after Seth, but Seth himself was already on the hotel roof with his black hoverbike parked freely under the morning sun. The man jumped on and started the hoverbike's engine. The roof door opened to reveal Seth's two male informants.
"Stop, you asshole!" said one of the men.
Arcada's group had already spread the information by mouth. Someone who managed to arrest the man riding the hoverbike would profit greatly. The two men tried to catch him, but they failed.
The hoverbike was already hovering, leaving the place to reach the city harbor, which was about a thirty-minute drive from the hotel. All the survivors' eyes were fixed on the sky, watching a black object hovering, not a spaceship, but a motorcycle with four-engine propulsion.
Seth continued to glance at them; none of the survivors could harm him at the height. They could only stay silent, ignoring Seth's passing and returning to their previous activities.
From afar, Seth could see the location of the city harbor with useless ships parked there. It looked deserted as far as the eye could see like no one was there.
Seth landed right on a spacious area of white concrete paved with the reflection of the scorching sun, making him sweat. The man still sat on the hoverbike, his left hand ready to grasp the laser pistol tightly.
"So quiet, there's no way this place is uninhabited," Seth muttered.
The man argued because he saw many containers arranged in the harbor, which probably contained valuable goods, such as imported food.
CLAP!
"Who is it?!" groaned Seth, fairly loudly with his right hand reflexively reaching for his other gun, aiming it at the unfamiliar source of the sound.
"I didn't expect you to come. You are definitely the one," said a man dressed in a leather jacket, coming out of a warehouse.
Not just one, but hundreds of people came out of there. From the left, Seth saw hundreds more people appearing one by one from each container; they used these places to hide themselves.
"He's the one who killed Ash and Milner!" the man shouted for the crowd to hear.
People began to take out their weapons. Seth was surprised to see the survivors no longer using melee weapons but began to hold rifles with long barrels, the same model as the Skywatcher's rifles.
"I haven't recognized you yet, but you already know who I am. It's an honor for me, Gentlemen," Seth joked, smiling broadly with his head on a swivel, gazing in all directions in the place.
"Is this how you welcome new members? No wonder you're always behind Redemption's ass!" Seth complained.
"Watch your language. You're surrounded, but you still dare to mock us. You're such a fool!" said the man in the leather jacket, keeping his rifle pointed at Seth.
"You are the fool. You keep letting me set up a plan!" said Seth.
"What?!" scolded the man.
Seth hurriedly pressed the autoride button. The black hoverbike engine turned on and flew at an average altitude. The hoverbike continuously floated nimbly to various places in the harbor.
"Take him down!" the man shouted.
His order made the other Arcada members release their shots, hundreds of lasers aimed at Seth and the hoverbike the man was sitting on. Seth's two hands weren't idle; the man directed his attacks at several people with weak guards.
"Activate defense mode!" said Seth.
[Voice recognition detected]
[Activating hoverbike self-defense barrier]
"Change to manual mode!" commanded Seth.
[Manual drive mode has been activated]
Seth holstered the pistol in his right hand into the back holster of his pants. Now, his right hand controlled the hoverbike, while his left hand kept shooting at the people.
With so many people, it would be difficult for Seth to defeat them with his laser pistol. He tried to take three bottles of blue laser plasma from his pants pocket. Seth would drop them in three places: a shipping container, a warehouse, and an abandoned ship.
Seth dropped the first bottle in the warehouse where the man in the leather jacket was fighting. It spontaneously made people anxious and confused.
"What the hell did he throw?" asked one of the Arcada members.
"It's just a plasma bottle, don't be afraid!" shouted the man in the leather jacket, continuing to try to knock Seth out of the sky.
"You should have paid attention to that," Seth snapped.
The finger of his left hand pulled the trigger on the laser gun, not toward the Arcada members, but toward the blue plasma bottle. It took him five laser shots to hit the bottle.
BOM!
The effect of the plasma bottle being shot created an explosive impact from the clashing plasmas, an immense explosion that burned the building and the people around it to the ground, the first fire Seth saw after doing a time loop.
"Plasma bottles can create such an explosion?" asked one of the members in the container.
"Now, it's your turn!" snapped Seth.
He dropped a second plasma bottle on the heads of the people taking cover in the container. Before Seth could fire, the plasma bottle was hit by a shot from one of Arcada's members, creating a second large explosion that made the container's steel bounce in all directions.
"You fucking morons!" Seth screamed.
The agonized screams of the burning people rang out clearly, filling the area until now, leaving only the people on the ship. Just as Seth was about to throw the third plasma bottle, he was stopped in his tracks by dozens of black spaceships flying from ahead of Seth, behind the ship.
"It looks like I can't stay here for long," Seth said.
He put the third plasma bottle back, tucked his second laser pistol into the back of his pants, and got as far away as possible from the harbor site devastated by the plasma bottle explosion.
The Skywatchers descended on the harbor, slaughtering the people in the harbor who were members of Arcada. Seth ignored them and continued to fly away from the place to get to the city center.
What Seth did surprised the recon team from another group, Redemption. They conducted surveillance on a high tower without being noticed by Arcada. Seth's fight with Arcada's group was something they had never seen before.
"We must find him. Sir Arthur will be pleased if he joins us."
