"Something's wrong."
Malachi muttered after noticing how increasingly silent the environment around him had become.
A few moments ago, before reaching here, he would still be able to spot a few zombies here and there, but now, not a single zombie was in sight.
Malachi couldn't help but slow the speed at which he drove.
He started to wonder if he should perhaps turn back now, as he was uncomfortable with the way things looked.
His gut told him something was wrong, and the feeling was particularly intense.
"What's wrong, dear?" Anna inquired.
Anna noticed the signs of caution, contemplation, and hesitation in her husband and couldn't help but call out, worried.
Turning to glance at his wife, Malachi hesitated to speak before saying something.
"It's nothing," he said, shaking his head as he spoke.
In the end, Malachi decided not to state his worries.
