When Malachi reached the location where he had fought the monster, he was surprised to see not much destruction had been done to the surroundings. In fact, whatever destruction was there was caused by his battle with the monster.
"Did Leo not fight the monster?" Malachi voiced his thoughts aloud, but he could hardly see that happening.
The monster seemed particularly... interested in him to have just given up like that after all that trouble just when it was finally close to having him.
Malachi's body shook when he thought of this.
Malachi had no idea why the monster kept saying it wanted him, but he could guess what the monster would do to him had it managed to get him, from what he saw in the granny's body.
