The moment Malachi confirmed that whatever dot was in the sky happened to be some oversized bird that was oddly diving to their location, Malachi immediately stepped on the car gas pedal and spoke loudly.
"Everyone, hold on!"
Malachi's sudden loud voice brought several reactions to everybody, including Leo, who was still positioned outside his car on the trunk. His voice did make them alert, though.
David's irises immediately turned red as a serious expression donned his face, and he looked around in various directions in his surroundings. This was a reflex action that was both conscious and subconscious.
David also wasn't the only one on the ready, as Leo gripped his Katana tightly and brought a little of the blade outside from its sheath while observing the surroundings with a cold gaze.
The situation changed quickly, though, when the car started moving.
