Hunting for zombies was both easy and dangerous for Leo.
Individually, the zombies weren't a significant threat; one just had to ensure they weren't bitten or hit.
Leo's numerous encounters with zombies have made him aware of a few things about them.
Firstly, they were really slow, making it easy to avoid them as long as one was faster. However, the real challenge lay in their numbers. It made one contemplate how the once-prided population on Earth had become a nightmare.
From what he had scene when the cracks in the sky appeared, the number of zombies was not scary, it only became scary when they stated to infect others and Leo knew it would continue to be so.
Fortunately, zombies weren't the smartest and couldn't see. Exploiting these characteristics could aid in survival. Yet, these traits didn't reduce their threat level. Aside from their numbers, their ears were a weapon in itself.
